I have written a review about this store, but, I learned today that my understanding of a few of the details of this store was not correct. If you saw my previous review, disregard it.
I have had stale candy, or so I thought, but I was told today that some other their candy is just like that. Specifically the candy I am referring to is the "Belts" as I was told they're called. They're the sour twizzler-shaped candies. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one and assume that they weren't actually expired. Although, the candy wasn't to my taste at all in that case, and as a severely overweight man which has never said no to candy, means something other than that the candy is made that way.
I have also been told by an employee here that a lot of their gummies are bought from an expensive brand, which is the reason for the price. Given that my previous 2 stars review was nearly all about the gummies, I have risen the review. Although, the brand of gummies may be more expensive, I have not noticed a difference, given that I don't grade by price however, it is entirely up to the constumer to decide if the gummies bought here are worth more than other retailers.
Now, to the store itself. It is a little cramped inside, although this is sometimes difficult to maneuver through, it is good that they have a large variety of candies to choose from. They also handout candies at the front most of the time, and the candy they give is clearly great.
I have one last negative, but, again, this will not effect my rating. I had a review up and originally I gave 2 stars, mostly due to me assuming I had stale gummies. Instead of reaching out to me, as a consumer, which some stores have after a review, I was told that they appearently laugh about negative reviews. Clearly if I was wrong in some assumption, the ideal thing to do as a company is to explain to the consumer, or maybe they were going 'The customer is always right' route. Granted, I haven't purchased any candy from them for a while, so they may not think of me as a consumer, I I planned to get a lot of candy for a party coming up soon. While I said that I wasn't planning on rating the store based on their management minimizing negative reviews, I know that I won't be a customer for any major events. I'm thinking about trying some gummies again however.
Overall, the store itself is a '8.5 out of 10'. I rarely give '10' stars, so a 4/5 is practically the best I'll give. My grading system is to start at 5 and work my way lower. My original review should have been for the brand of gummies they sell rather than the business, is what I was told. I do think that a review without insider information is probably more accurate to what people should see, so take this review with a grain of salt. I have a bias as my ex-girlfriend works there, but I have reviewed other places with similar attachments, and all of them had higher scores. In reality, I think a shop should be graded based on the quality of all of it's products, but, given you can look into the products they sell, I'll leave that review for...
Read moreGreat boutique style candy and snack shop inside of the mall. They have a gorgeous feel and plenty to offer for any sweet tooth. We stopped in as I wanted to check them out and see what they had to offer. There are bulk candy bins - which have been limited in their access and customers are asked to wear gloves and get a bag from staff prior to getting anything to buy.
They also have a cold case with chocolate truffles and fudges. There are pre-packaged items if you prefer to take something to eat later, or want to ensure your items is closed off. I loved the area in the back where they have international candies / snacks on offer.
Staff greeted us right away and offered assistance if needed. They have gorgeous little gift candy jars you can fill for presents (or for yourself!) if you are getting a gift for that someone special.
Overall: A+ Gorgeous candy shop with fun offerings and...
Read moreBeautiful and fun candy store! They have all kinds of candy. Candy from the past, candy from other countries, novelty toy candy. And my favorite... they have a huge assortment of Cotton Candy. The store is layed out very bright and fun! And who doesn't like candy!?! They have small jars you can buy and fill up with different types of candy and then you bring the jars back and you can fill them up for a discounted price. The pricing is kind of high on a lot of things, but they do have some things that are a little more reasonable for those kiddos that are looking to spend some of their allowance on some yummy goodness. They are in the middle of the Easter Candy selling season and they have all kinds of beautiful and fun tasty treats for...
