My wife and I had lunch here for the first and last time, the service was incredibly slow, the cashier was extremely unprofessional, the food was absolutely terrible, I had the “New black pepper bacon turkey sandwich”, they didn’t have the right bread ready so they put it on a panini, the bacon was obviously microwave bacon and had no trace of black pepper, there was virtually no meat on the sandwich at all actually, I ended up taking off the top of my sandwich, folded the slivers of meat in half and just used one piece of bread just to make it seem like an actual sandwich, there weren’t even any condiments on the sandwich and none were in the dining area to add either. Oh, and the bread had bits of burnt paper on it from the panini press as well.. I settled on the chicken noodle soup since vegetable soup wasn’t available, instead of noodles the soup had macaroni shells in it.. It wasn’t terrible but the fact that there wasn’t any sort of salt or pepper available to use was very irritating. My wife had a ham and swiss melt panini, the bread was burnt, it had literally ham and cheese, that’s it, no lettuce tomato etc. She also got the broccoli soup, this was literally the reason we went there, she wanted some broccoli soup because it was a cold day, what she got was basically broccoli and milk, no seasoning, no cheese, she ended up deciding to take it home so that she could salvage the soup by adding cheese and seasoning to it to make it edible. Overall the experience was unpleasant, time consuming and extremely expensive, our “meals” cost $18.08 total, we could have eaten like kings at literally any other restaurant on the same street.. I went through the drive thru on Main St. As my other regular location was closed due to construction and placed my order. When I got to the window to pay I asked if I could add another large coffee. The cashier was very rude to me and stated that I could not add anything onto my order because they had a line. There was 2 people behind me so it wasn't that long of a line. I also only ordered another coffee, not food that would've taken longer to prepare. She literally made me go back through the drive thru to order my 2nd coffee that would've taken her maybe 30 seconds to add to my first order. I was completely shocked that I was treated this way. Especially since I am such a loyal customer. I will never visit this location again because of how I was treated. They should have some sort of consequence for the poor customer...
Read moreYesterday, May 17, 2021, I stopped in to get some donuts for my granddaughter for her 8th grade class in Vandalia. I asked if it was possible to get 4 dozen donuts. The young man said that he would have to check with the manager, which he did. The manager came over and said that they could do it but that it would take 5-10 minutes because they would have to make them. He then told another young man what to fix and 10 minutes or so later I left with my order. The manager, himself, boxed up the donuts. I was so impressed with everyone and their helpful attitude. This was like 7:30 in the morning and I never saw a face that wasn't smiling and a group of people who were enjoying the work that they were doing. Thank you to all at the Main St. Tim Hortons. Oh, the donuts made a huge hit with the 8th graders at St. Christopher School...
