FINGERNAIL IN SANDWICH FINGERNAIL IN SANDWICH Wanted a light lunch so I decided to give this Jersey Mike's a try. Again, I just wanted something light, so I just got veggies on the sandwich. Or so I thought.
I don't know if the workers have something against people who order veggie subs, or if they were just trying to help a brother out and give me some extra protein, but long story short when I bit into my sub I got a fingernail. Those who bite their nails, or have had this happen to them, know there is nothing else that has the same texture. Even through a series of olympic tier mental gymnastics to convince my self I didn't just bite into a part of someone else's body, there was no way it was anything else but a fingernail. It almost feels intentional since they didn't have to slice a single thing for the veggie sub...
Between the dirty store, soda machine with only 3 flavors working, and the fingernail in my sandwich, this location definitely captures the "New Jersey" vibe quite well. The high prices don't justify exposing yourself to their health code violations. Taco Bell can offer food poisoning at a much...
Read moreI noticed the piece off meat was not cutting clean. 1/4 off the meat was being cut and putting a very small amount on my sandwich. I pointed out that the meat was oddly shaped and asked if they would add some more. I was told the cutting machine was malfunctioning, and they couldn't get it fixed. I said all the more reason to fix the problem because your sandwiches are expensive. Suddenly, Mya who was working the grill, not someone involved with the conversation, started being very rude. Eventually, she said if you don't like it, then go somewhere else. I was shocked. I asked for her name. No one was wearing a name tag. After ignoring my request for her name multiple times, she just left her coworkers to work alone and never came back. The girl that took my payment was very nice and gave me her name. I imagine she doesn't like working with her and that's why she was willing to do so. Then the other young man that was working there approached me. In an attempt to excuse her behavior, saying she is on her period. Again, I was shocked. I do not under any circumstances need to know that...

I just had the best experience at the Jersey Mike's in Springville. My son just got diagnosed with Celiacs disease and we've been struggling to find safe restaurant options. He hasn't eaten out in weeks. I was completely starving and got my kid something gluten free to snack on and asked him if he'd be ok if I got myself a gluteny sandwich. I was super surprised and happy to see a gluten free option for their sandwiches. I asked them how careful they are with gluten contamination, and they explained a very thorough process of washing hands and using completely different surfaces etc. to avoid cross contamination. I ordered my son a gluten free sandwich and me a regular sandwich. They asked if we wanted cookies and I said no, as I didn't want to eat a cookie in front of my son. I was super sick with the flu and having a rough time and the worker was very kind and told us that he threw in a free cookie for me and a gluten free cookie for my son. It made our day and we will definitely be coming back. 10/10 service and consideration for our...
