Captain D's — Restaurant in St. Albans

I usually don’t share bad reviews. And it’s not a bad review about the restaurant as much as it is about the workers. I had a tough day today moving my mother into an assisted living facility and had been on the go all day long since early. My daughter and I were exhausted and decided to go through the drive thru at your store in St. Albans, WV. Being tired and worn out, I ordered my meal and my daughter’s meal and remembered after pulling up to the window that I didn’t order 4 pieces of chicken as I was supposed to order. I asked the gentleman in the drive thru if I could possibly add the chicken to the order and he was kind to accommodate me. When he told the cook in the back that I added 4 pieces of chicken to the order, I could hear him berate this gentleman and tell he no he wasn’t going to add the chicken that “She’s just gonna wait or drove back around and order it!” He screamed at the poor man at the drive thru. I spoke up and said that it was my fault not to scream at him for doing his job. And he screamed back at me to drive around. Instead I went inside to pick up my food and ask the kind man at the drive through who the man was in the back that was screaming at him and who the manager was. To which the drive thru man told me, “Ah well, he is the manager.” I have worked in public service for many years and continue today as I work in healthcare and have never experienced anyone talking as poorly to their coworkers as this. So called manager was.

Shame on him. We need to do better people! I will probably not eat there again if this man is still working there. ...

Went in to eat this afternoon, there was only one employee managing the drive thru and the front counter. The doors and windows in the front were dirty. Placed our order, paid, and went to get our drinks and find a place to sit. Every table/booth was dirty so we asked to change our order to go. While we were waiting, the employees in the back were tossing the to go order boxes up in the sevice window and the lids were popping open. A drive thru customer walked in because her order was wrong. When we received our order, the front staff opened our two boxed meals to check they were right and then bagged them. When we got to the car I checked our orders and they were both missing the hush puppies. So, I went back in to get them. The doors going out were nasty, I used my foot to push the doors open so I wouldn't have to touch them. Ridiculous! We will never visit the Saint Albans store again. The food looked and was cooked properly but I sure hope we don't get sick. I would call the manager to complain but obviously that is...

This place was truly amazing I used to love to fish the service I don't know what happened it's just like it went downhill like they don't care no more the fish is greasy but food is overly price now it had to be somebody in the upper echelon to screw it up it used to be a nice place to come and eat affordable prices now it's just as your food I mean I think the employees fault without leadership how can you have good employees I gave into two stars just an incentive to maybe get more stars but doing better maybe they need to fire the leaders and get new leaders and I just don't mean the manager at the store either I mean the...
