Lin's Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in St. Charles

I haven't had an issue with this place until now. I ordered a meal for pickup through their online ordering, paid for it and received confirmation that the order went through. When I arrived to pick up my order the man told me I had to pay for it. I told him I paid when I ordered online. I was basically forced to pay again in order to receive my meal. As you can see from the attached screenshot, the charges appear twice on my pending credit transactions. Once "Online" and a second charge at the store. I sent them a message to remove one of the charges but did not receive any reply to my message. So, I decided I would at least let everyone else know what they are doing. If it is going to cost me $10 worth of being ripped off then perhaps this review will cost them hundreds if not thousands in revenue for doing so. Maybe I might even get some sort of response, other than "crickets" from them. The credit card charges I attached speak for themselves. Luckily for me it was only a $10 theft and my order was not a big one. There are a few other Asian restaurants near here that I'm sure could use the business. I will probably "not" order anything from these crooks again. And I just want everyone to know that in the style in which they do business suggests they need to be out...

I tried this place for lunch today because I was craving eggrolls. I may never crave another eggroll again. I ordered takeout. I did not dine in. From the look of things nobody does. Completely empty. Almost all the awards on the wall are from 2009 to 2013 and that seems to be when this place was given up on. Even the poster in the bar explained people had to be born by this date in 1993 to drink. That's 30 YEARS AGO NOT 21!! This place is so miserable that the one employee working was actually in his car in the parking lot instead of inside the restaurant. I can't saying blame him too much time in there alone and watch out!! The food was just as lifeless as the atmosphere. No flavor and obviously frozen. Why wouldn't it be? Clean. Horrible food. Our waiter was an Asian lady with short black hair. She was completely dismissive and very very very rude. The restaurant was not even busy and we felt very rushed. My mom even told her she can’t finish her soup so she needed a second bowl to share with my sister. The lady didn’t say a word and rudely walked off and 7 minutes later came back and put the bowl on the table still didn’t say a word and was about to walk off. My mom told her that’s shes sorry for asking for a second bowl and shes taking chemo so she can’t finish her food. The lady responded by saying “ok, I’m very busy” then walked away.
