Wendy's — Restaurant in St. Johns

The food was good. We were served with a smile. The employees were definitely friendly. It's a Wendy's and this one's been at this location for as long as I have been driving down Old 27. It could used a bit of an update. It seems a little dark & kind of dingy. There bathroom had quite a bit of, we'll call it "water" in front of the urinals. I enjoyed wading through that. I'm exaggerating a little, but there was enough for a small splashing sound. That is how I 1st noticed I had stepped in it. Honestly, it is present (unfortunately) in many public men's rooms though. As I filled my drink cup, I noted how clean the drink dispenser, lid racks, lids & rest of that area was. Then I noticed the counter top was covered in pop & I had set our bag on it. When I picked it up to make sure it wasn't wet, it was ok, but was stuck to the counter a bit. I looked out at the tables for a place we might sit & the tabletops looked like they needed to be wiped off too. There was also food on the floor. Under one of the chairs closest to me. Although they seemed nice & I am sure they would have cleaned a table off for us if we asked. They were busy & it looked like there wasn't many of them working at the time. So we made the decision to eat in the car. It also saved us time. Bottom line, if you like Wendy's food they have it here. It tastes good. It's not too expensive. They have some good value deals or more expensive meals but they are still cheaper than most. The employees are friendly. If you are not sure if you like Wendy's, stop...

Metal Nail in My Food!

Sunday 10/12/2014 I went to this St. Johns location to get a burger and some fries. I used the drive thru and the service was kinda slow. I waited at the order window for about 2 minutes. Witch I didn't see as that bad as it was their rush time.

Well I got a the Park in town where I was going to fly my quadcopter and started to eat my food before I did so. So I start digging into this burger and about 1/2 way thru eating it I bit something hard. As I was hungry I was taking large bites so the food was in my mouth with whatever this hard object was. I stuck my fingers in my mouth to get this hard item out and pulled out a 1 inch rusty metal object. It looked to be a nail but with all the rust it was unidentifiable. I spit out my food as I was now disgusted.

I went back to the store to get a refund. Witch I got more then that I gotta Always Fresh Meat never frozen speech witch my response to was "There was a nail in my food!, I want a complete refund.", I received no response from that and the Manager walked away with my receipt. He came back ~1 minute later with my full refund.

They did refund my money, that is good I guess. But due to the fact my food was tainted with a foreign object I am still not happy. I do not recommend this...

Well, after waiting all day for cutie to get home, we made it to the store to stock up on groceries! Afterwards, we stopped by our local Wendy’s for din din, son! I got the pretzel bacon pub cheeseburger. You know I gotta try it, son, You know me! I got an accompaniment of six nuggs to bootily boot boot too! I gotta complain here, I gotta be real! These nuggs were a little sogtacious! They coulda been fried longer, friends, could have been…..could have been. The burger had a bit too many fried onions for my taste buds too. I really would like to give this a 4.5 but I’ll be nice, shoot son, I’m the mascot of Saint Johns! The cute girl’s meal was a 5 out of 5, they nailed that Dave’s single made just the way she likes it! Gotta say we were satisfied with our meal and will be back some day I’m sure.
