Incredible experience. Will absolutely be someplace I'll return to again and again. I showed up on a Wednesday evening, having walked in the Botanical Garden till my phone died and then having bought a charger at the shop across the street. The host was kind enough to seat me where I could charge my phone, at the bar. The bartender, Terrance, gave me a big jug of water, which after hours of walking on an unseasonably warm day, was so needed. I ordered a mushroom & Swiss veggie burger, onion rings, and a Fitz's Diet Root Beer. I sat and enjoyed a book while my phone charged, loving the atmosphere of the open space. My veggie burger and onion rings came out, and I got a water refill. (It was around this time I noticed the glass next to the huge jug of water, but I didn't feel judged for swigging from the jug itself, lol.) The onion rings were so tasty, some sort of delicate beer batter, maybe. And they were served with ranch. I asked for ketchup at that point, and by the time it came, had been converted to onion rings with ranch! The veggie burger itself was incredible--maybe a white bean burger, with something smoky in the mix? Arugula and a soft bun, plus mushrooms and cheese... It was to die for. This review is getting really long but I just want to shout out Baileys' for having *five gender-neutral bathroom stalls*--unprecedented and paradigm-shifting--and Terrance for waiting on myself and another group while also bartending and taking care of everything behind the counter. The price was beyond reasonable. I can't wait to take my partner on a date here. I honestly can't stop thinking about that veggie burger!

I had heard great things about Baileys' Range, and have enjoyed the downtown location before, but I was left pretty disappointed by the to-go order my partner and I had tonight. We each ordered a burger, shared an order of cheese curds, and each ordered a shake. First off, none of this has to do with the order being to-go. They actually did quite a nice job packaging the order and it was prepared on time. The burgers were pretty good. Cooked to order, and with all the correct toppings. We also know that they use local, grass fed beef which is a plus. The shakes, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. First, the $6.50 shake was about the size of my child's sippy cup (see photo). It was a 9oz shake. I dunno. Maybe it's inflation, or I'm a bit miserly, but $6.50 feels like a lot for a 9oz shake. If I could've seen the sizes first, I would have passed. $1.50 of that was for a cheesecake mix-in. I think I counted 4 half inch chunks of brownie (not cheesecake) in my shake. 🤷 The cheese curds were also a let down. I would estimate about half of the order was just fried air. No cheese in the "curd" at all. The people of Wisconsin would riot if you served them these curds. I don't mind paying $9 for cheese curds, but I do expect cheese in most of them. All in all, this meal was a bit of a let down for $50. I will probably give them another shot because I had a good experience at the downtown location and the atmosphere of the new location looked pretty great, but I will probably steer clear of the expensive shakes and choose a different appetizer.

I really wanted to like this place, but I had a very mediocre experience and I'm hoping that was just a one-off. I had the Luciano burger (one of their challenge burgers that change weekly). The burger had balsamic, fresh mozzarella, and basil. I barely tasted the toppings due to the overpowering flavor of meat from the thickness of the patty. While I like a burger as much as the next guy, when I'm paying almost $20 a burger, I expect to have a little more to it than that. If all I'm going to taste is me, then I shouldn't be paying that much. Out of the four members of my party, three of us agreed that we barely tasted anything other than meat on the burgers we ordered. They have homemade lemonade, which was good but overpoweringly sweet. I actually cut it in half with water and it was fine to drink after that. As far as staff, overall they were quite nice and friendly. We had a lot of trouble getting a hold of our server, but she seemed to be busy cleaning and moving other tables around which necessitated me getting up to go find her / talk to her multiple times. I'll give this place another try because it seems very nice, I may have just gone on an off day.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. Started out ok, but it was obvious the place was short staffed. We wanted to sit outside but were told it was closed. We were seated and our waitress seemed preoccupied or uninterested in providing service. She didn't seem to know the menu and came off as if she was annoyed by the questions we had. We ordered a salad that said it had cucumbers, the salad was served with pickles instead. When we challenged the waitress about it , she must've resented us asking why we got pickles instead of cucumber because she ran to the manager and never served us for the rest of the night. Manager came over said I'll take care of you for the rest of the night. Wow, all because we asked what happened? Then as the manager tries to make things better. A woman at the table beside me begins to insert herself and make rude comments about the situation. As in talking to the Manager I explain how rude the lady is and that I don't appreciate her even including herself in the situation. The manager then tells me that "we need to stay in our lane" and not insult or discuss anyone outside of my table. At that point it was obvious that my skin color posed a problem and that I didn't deserve any level of respect as he never asked the woman to "stay in her lane". This is not a place for people of color. They do not respect us. They barely wanted to serve me. I don't recommend this place to anyone. And that was my first and last time going. We left and went to another restaurant. Our waitress at the other restaurant confirmed that she was just there days before us and said the service sucked and no one knew the menu. She wasn't a person of color but she could confirm that it's not as good as it used to be! Keep your coins and go to...

I was excited to visit this place and was hoping it would be a good experience, especially being within walking distance.

The first impression wasn't great - standing at the hostess stand and looking around for the hostess without seeing anyone. Eventually she came over and wasn't very friendly or helpful and communication wasn't great. Actually she was confusing.

After we got our table outside, there were a bunch of flies. I realize it's out of the restaurants control, but I don't remember having this problem at other places when eating outside.

Service wasn't great and felt absent. I am a polite and friendly person, especially to restaurant staff because I know how hard it is dealing with the public. However, I noticed that when the hostess came to bring us our water she wasn't very friendly. Also, I noticed that she was a lot more friendly to the table next to us. I'm not sure if it was a culture thing or what (the hostess and the table next to us were the same race) but it bothered me.

The appetizer came about 10 minutes after the main meal. And it wasn't a cheap appetizer.

The food was pretty good. The burgers was good and the fries were okay. The nachos appetizer was not very good.

The shake sizes are a joke - the "small" is really a kids size and the "large" is a normal size. I imagine there are a lot of disappointed customers with this.

In terms of pricing - I think the burger and fries cost is about average for this area. I think the shakes and appetizer price was exorbitant.

Conclusion - I won't be going back anytime soon. I had high hopes for this place, especially living in the neighborhood, but it wasn't a good experience. I left feeling regretful that I had spent so much on a place with bad service and also an appetizer...

I have been twice in the last month, first with co workers, second with family. The lack luster service was evident both times. First time going was on a Monday night after seeing the garden glow. We were thrilled to find a spot that was open (many restaurants are closed on Mondays) and near the gardens, that could seat our larger party (6 of us) immediately. The restaurant was not busy which I was thankful for. After getting seated our server ghosted us (waited about 20ish minutes). I literally had to go find someone to take our order. Again, if it was a busy night, I would understand, but there were maybe 2 out 3 other tables there. It just didn't make sense. They were out of MANY of the beers. I understand that's sometimes out of the restaurants control but it was certainly disappointing. After finding a server to take our order (lol) we waited probably an hour plus for our food. During this time, our server rarely checked on us. Again, the restaurant WAS. NOT. BUSY. Strike one. Food was good, I did like the variety of burgers offered and the creative combinations. But after the awful service we had received, by the time the food FINALLY came out, we were over it. I was thankful to get out of there after a 2 hour ordeal. Completely out of my control, I found myself back at bailey's a month later for a family birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Similar situation of restaurant not busy, absent server, food taking forever, limited beers, but this time, food (specifically the burgers) came out cold!! Strike two. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are wanting fast service. There are plenty of other burger joints in the lou where you DON'T have to ask for...
