Review May 2022 - Unfortunately my previous review needs to be revoked as a more recent experience was overwhelmingly disappointing as well as disqualifying for another visit. During this visit we got in a line of more than 10 people. After about 10 minutes of waiting and multiple guests ordering, getting a seating number and going to their table we were informed they were closed. At this point we had reached third in line from being served and the clerk at the register announced that the previous woman served would be the last for the day as the kitchen was closed. The complaint here isn't the hours or that the kitchen closed; that is very reasonable. The problem is it was clear the clerk at the register and the staff knew they were closing while they continued to let more and more people que the line. No one informed us they were about to close therefore we wasted time as well as were experiencing the joy of looking forward to the excellent food they serve. In addition, I went back to look at the brochures and information and found it very difficult to find official hours of the cafe. I understand the cafe and garden are separate entities and companies but it looks bad upon the garden; I'm perplexed the garden isn't concerned about this.

Review from 2021: Cafe Flora is an excellent eating establishment with good quality and unique eats. The staff was cordial and friendly. I read other reviews indicating the staff was rude and that you are not allowed to use the tables to sit and drink a cup of water. It's important to note the seating here is limited and the location is often very busy. Other benches are located throughout the gardens. If I was waiting for my order I'd prefer to be able to sit and enjoy my meal since I paid for it. The water cup comments should be firmly disregarded. The food was very flavorful, don't pass up...

First time there it was nice the food was ok I was impressed by a lady that seemed to do most of the prebussing and interaction with the guest didn't get her name but she was a black lady awesome job I was a little disappointed when I asked another to help me out by asking 3 younger children what they wanted for lunch and put it on my card since it was a cashless day her response was she couldn't do it and couldn't help me knowing that the kids were not going to get lunch and I was willing to purchase there lunch on my credit card since I was unable to leave my table due to having a service dog under my table I thought maybe a little help would have warrented since money would have been brought into...

I attended Café Flora during the Japanese Festival. I had toured the garden and needed a rest. I purchased a beer and an expensive bottle of saké. I grabbed an open seat on the patio. Soon though I was asked to yield my table for "customers of the restaurant". I was kind of offended, but agreed to move. The gentleman who asked me to move later offered me a free beer. This would have been fine, but NO ONE SAT AT THE TABLE THAT I WAS ASKED TO LEAVE WHILE I WAS THERE. It was a totally unnecessary jerk move to ask me a paying customer to move in the...

We had a lovely meal sitting outside at this cafe! They have a carafe of water on every table which was nice since it was warm out. We could have chose to eat inside but we wanted to enjoy the outdoor view which was some of the water displays. We both got the chicken bagels with bacon which came with a side of fresh fruit. You order at the counter but they bring the food out to you. It was delicious! #summerbucketlist
