I found this place from a video on IG and unfortunately it did not give the experience I was hoping for.I'll start with the pro's first, The owner & server were nice. The drinks were good, that's all I have for the pro's. Now the con's...The food was just blah....we ordered the chicken & red velvet waffle...the 3 chicken wings were bland and the waffle was just well a waffle ( I had to ask for syrup amongst other things). We also had the flight queso,guac & salsa...(store bought), The pasta was not great , if you like jar alfredo sauce and chicken out of the bag you might love it. The atmosphere was dark. We came to Day bar after finding it online. We order the chicken and waffles after seeing whole wings posted on the online reviews as well as instagram. When our food arrived we were surprised to see four tiny party wings (perfectly seasoned tho) and two plain “red velvet” waffles. We enjoyed the drinks but two lemon drops for $26 dollars was nothing to post about! Being bag and body searched wasn’t fun either. Total for two people was $80 dollars. This place has it all — great food, strong drinks, and such a fun vibe. The sweet heat glaze chicken wings were hands-down some of the best I’ve had, crispy with just the right kick of spice and sweetness. The red velvet waffles are a standout, especially with the cream cheese icing… absolutely delicious and the perfect mix of savory and sweet.
