Harold's Chop Suey — Restaurant in St. Louis

I love this place. Im not from st. Louis, so when i saw there was a chinese food restaurant within walking distance, i quickly came by to pick up some fried rice. The food is amazing and i recently tried a st. Paul sandwich- took me 3 years to try it- and I have been missing out big time. Its cheap and extremely tasty. Harold and his crew are extremely hardworking and do their best to push out the food hot and fresh with every visit. They have tons of customers and though those customers can get impatient with their food time- i blame the fact that their hungry is coupled with a little anger- it goes to show how in demand harold's chinese food is. Use to live in MO in 99. Still have Harold’s business card from 99 when they were close to downtown and had the large heater in the waiting area. That guaranteed nobody would wait inside their establishment. The card is on my refrigerator posted up. We drove to Harold's a couple of years ago to get a quart of shrimp fried rice with extra onions. The food stayed hot well over an hour. Taste the exact same. Got wings and egg rolls. Y’all talking bout the best d*mn rice in the city! Y’all I would not lie to you! I drive 30 mins for these boxes of goodness. True authentic flavor is absolutely amazing. Surprisingly on a Friday they weren’t as busy as normal but the service is always quick. I would suggest calling ahead if you don’t wanna wait cause your food will be made fresh. I’m actually headed back down there for LoMein for another day in a row. Prices are definitely fair we got all this plus a egg roll and two Pepsi’s for $20! Yes nobody does...
