🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 STARS – A Hidden Gem You HAVE to Try!

You guys… I never leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves the spotlight! ✨ La Terraza (formerly under a different name) is hands down one of the best Mexican-inspired restaurants I’ve eaten at—not just in St. Louis, but anywhere.

The chef is a beautiful soul from Cuba who pours love and authenticity into every dish. You can truly taste the passion in every bite. 🇨🇺💛

Let’s talk FOOD! My go-to test at any Mexican restaurant is the Mexican rice… and let me tell you—I would come back just for the rice alone. It’s that good! 🌾🔥 I also ordered the fajita quesadilla and it was packed with flavor. We shared the beef and chicken empanadas, and every bite was heaven. Flaky, savory, flavorful—perfectly done!

Now for the mango margarita… OH. MY. GOSH. Best. I’ve. Ever. Had. 🍹🥭 Sweet, strong, refreshing—it hit all the right notes!

The atmosphere is cozy, the service is kind, and you can feel the excitement of the new chapter they’re entering. If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and GO. Support this place, support this chef, and enjoy food that’ll leave you smiling for hours afterward....

Oh boy, that was interesting. We were the only customers (party of 5), it took 30-40 mins to start getting our food, then dishes came out 1 or 2 at a time with 20 minutes in between. The last person in our party to get his meal had to take it to-go after waiting over an hour. Nothing was hot. I really couldn't tell whether the tacos were hard or soft. I think they were soft corn tortillas that were so stale they were almost crunchy. (Or they were hard shells that were so stale they were almost soft.) I definitely have my favorite places on Cherokee, but until today, I thought you basically couldn't go...

There are SO many Mexican restaurants to choose from on Cherokee but this spot has a more "Chill" type of vibe. The wait staff is ALWAYS friendly, the music selection is great! The drinks are delicious but the FOOD is what stands out to me. They have all of your classic favorites but they serve Brunch all day and they have dishes like Molé and hand-made tortillas 😍 this is the best Mexican restaurant on Cherokee Street (my own secret...
