This is the best pizza in town, full stop. Everything about Pizza A Go Go is sublime. The restaurant itself exudes a hip, no-nonsense, ‘60s and ‘70s neighborhood cool - which in itself is a great part of the experience - but make no mistake, it broadcasts a clear, multi-generational expertise in high-end pizza making that hits you the second you step in the door. It’s all about making the best pie that money can buy. This joint is run the way everything in the world ought to be run - by polite, direct, and professional craftsmen, and the product of these traits, for half a century now, is a world-class Neapolitan pie that’s not only the best in town, but is as tasty and authentic a pizza as you could find anywhere in the country (take it from a a native St Louisan who’s also a former ten year resident of Manhattan). Pizza a Go Go is the hip, insider “best in town” St Louis pizza. To mention this place to pizza lovers anywhere in the STL area is like a secret handshake of “in the know”. Try it once, and you’ll be a customer for life. Quality, taste, value and authenticity. It’s freakin’ delicious. Every time! If you are a pizza aficionado, and you don’t already know Pizza A Go Go, it’s only a matter of time before you do. Best pie in town, best pie in the state. Five stars....

Pizza-A-Go-Go is, hands down, my favorite pizza in St. Louis, and one of the top three I've had in the USA. My wife and I have "Pizza Night" on Thursdays and try different St. Louis pizzerias or frozen pizzas each week, but we always find ourselves going back to Pizza-A-Go-Go. The crust is perfect; It's hand-tossed, not too thin like other STL-style crusts, and not too thick and doughy. The sauce is zesty and not too sweet. The toppings, both meat and veggie, are fresh, delicious, and generously applied, but not overloaded to weigh down the pizza. My wife and my Mom love the veggie special and really enjoy the mushrooms. My Dad and I really like the meat special, especially the sausage and Canadian bacon. The place itself is quaint and unassuming. The owner Paul and the workers are nice and down-to-earth. They have a fridge you can keep your beer cold in if you decide to BYOB (they do not sell alcohol). Have a pizza, and then stop by Muser's Pub catty-corner or Babe's Tavern down the street. Vinnie's Italian Beef and Gyros is delicious also. If you want to check out a super "killer" guitar shop, Killer Vintage is right across the street. This corner (Ivanhoe/Scanlan) and the Ivanhoe strip give off some serious laid-back, old-timey, South City vibes. ...

While lounging in the hot tub atop my apartment building, pondering the financial decisions of a certain coyote with a penchant for failed schemes, a thunderous sound from the heavens snapped me out of my deep thoughts and back to reality - my own rumbling stomach. Having been left unsupervised for a few days, my default meal choice was the classic and always reliable pizza.

Rumors of a hidden gem in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood, renowned for its New York style pies, had my taste buds tingling with anticipation. After some impromptu detective work, I uncovered the elusive Pizza-A-Go-Go. Dodging raindrops and navigating unfamiliar back roads, I arrived at a humble building that exuded a nostalgic 90s pizzeria vibe.

As I exchanged my cash for a steaming hot pizza, the scent of melted cheese and savory toppings filled the air, transporting me back to my days in the Big Apple. Safely making my way through the treacherous storm, I eagerly cracked open the box to reveal a masterpiece of mushroom, sausage, and gooey mozzarella on a perfectly fluffy crust. One bite brought me back to the bustling streets of NYC, with each delicious bite serving as a tantalizing reminder of my past...

This restaurant had been on our to go to list for the past 30 years and today we made it happen. It was well woth the wait and it did not disappoint! We ordered a large half mushroom and half cheese Pizza with thick crust. We enjoyed every bite and had plenty to take home with us. They only offer soft drinks which wasn’t a problem for us. It appears that this place is a BYOB. Owner and staff were accommodating and very friendly. Hope to make it back there soon.

1. This pizza was absolutely DELICIOUS (homemade sausage...). The flavor was reminiscent of quality nostalgic pizza of yesteryear. It's really good. 2. The owner was there and present and friendly. 3. Cash/check ONLY 4. Bring in your own salad/apps/alcohol because they don't have them and they allow this. They only have pizza and non-alcoholic beverages. 5. The pizza took 45ish minutes to make (they told us up front multiple times).... it's totally worth it.
