11/13:21 @ 9:50am: (UPDATE) After posting this review, Pizza Head shortly reached out to me apologizing and promising to make things right. Iāve NEVER in my life had a restaurant take initiative like this before and I am WILDLY impressed with their practices. Huge thank you to whoever reached out to me. I still stand by the pep slices and canāt wait to give a full pizza a chance again.
11/13/21 @ 9am: I get Pizza Head pretty regularly. Usually I go with a slice or two of the vegan Pep and itās always fantastic. The ranch is seriously to die for. However, last night I placed an order for a vegan meat lovers to pick up at 4:55. I got a text at 4:37 that my pizza was already ready and I was just leaving work (25 minutes away). Upon picking up my pizza, the box was kinda cold but I didnāt think anything of it. By the time I got home my pizza was ice cold, the toppings completely fell off, and the crust was insanely hard. Iām just really disappointed in the experience from last night especially when itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn the upside, probably the best NY-style pizza in town.
On the downside, it's vegetarian (eye roll) artificial punk aesthetic (super eye roll) and they stopped having slices ready even before COVID happened (maximum eye roll).
On an upside, I hear they got rid of the weird creep that opened the place. (Never trust a white guy that claims to be Hindu)
Downside, they don't give you enough cheese. You have to pick "extra cheese" just to get a regular amount. And you have to order ahead online...but you can't call in your order on the phone. You cannot place an order in person as far as I know. If I can't call a pizza place or even just walk up and order a cheese pizza...what is the world coming to?
It seems the only places taking pizza seriously are making soggy Neopolitan style to eat with knife&fork (final eye roll)...... the STL food scene is full holes and somehow we are lacking a decent pizza culture. Pizza Head is the best we have until the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was an awesome find! We discovered this pizza place after a mailer went out supporting the minimum wage increase for MO. We love supporting restaurants like this so we came to check it out. They offer vegan and vegetarian pizza by the slice or the pie. We opted for a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni with dairy cheese. Both were fantastic. The crust has a slight crunch on the outside with a soft bread interior. I also ordered a special salad which was vegan and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. We will definitely be back and definitely want to try the vegan cheese. Mondays 50% of all proceeds support various charities. And at anytime you can donate a slice to St. Patrickās Center. Any leftover food is donated to local food share programs. Anything that can be composted is processed through New Earth Farm. This is an all around amazing example of how you can do well by doing good. Kudos to you...
