Don't let the humble appearance of World's Fair Donuts fool you – this little gem is hiding some of the most incredible donuts in St. Louis! 😲 I decided to treat my hardworking staff to a Sunday morning surprise, and let me tell you, these donuts were the ultimate morale booster! 🙌 Decor 🎨 Step inside this unassuming, slightly run-down building, and you'll find a charming, no-frills donut shop. 🏚️ The decor is minimal, with just a couple of retro arcade games to keep you entertained while you wait. 🕹️ But trust me, the real magic happens behind the display case, where rows of delectable donuts await! 😍 Service 🙋‍♂️ Dante, the friendly face behind the counter, was an absolute delight! 😊 He patiently guided me through the mouthwatering selection, offering spot-on recommendations that left my staff raving about every single bite. 🗣️ With such knowledgeable and helpful service, it's no wonder World's Fair Donuts has a loyal following! 👥 Food 🍽️ Now, let's talk about the real stars of the show: the donuts! 🌟 These heavenly creations are a testament to the art of donut-making. 🎨 Each bite is a revelation, with perfectly balanced flavors and textures that will make your taste buds sing! 🎶 From classic glazed to inventive gourmet creations, World's Fair Donuts has something for everyone. 🍩🍩🍩 My staff couldn't stop raving about these donuts, declaring them some of the best they've ever had! 😋 Working a busy Sunday shift can be tough, but these sweet treats provided the perfect pick-me-up, fueling us through the day with smiles on our faces. 😊💪 Your Experience 📝 In a world where artisanal donuts often come with a hefty price tag, World's Fair Donuts is a refreshing change of pace. 💸 These craft donuts are not only incredibly delicious but also surprisingly affordable, making them my go-to choice for a quick breakfast or a special treat for my hardworking team. 👩‍💼👨‍💼 If you're looking for a hidden gem that will redefine your donut expectations, look no further than World's Fair Donuts! 🔍 I know I'll be coming back time and time again for these irresistible, melt-in-your-mouth delights. 🤤 Trust me, once you've had a taste, you'll be hooked! 🎣 Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Great" World's Fair Donuts: Where every bite is a celebration of donut perfection! 🎉🍩

..the BEST doughnuts.. in the WORLD.. This couple's life long dedication and love must be the secret! They are old school.. no computers or even cell phones.. She once said to me in reference to "google" calling their land-line trying to convince them to connect to the modern world..: "I work 84 hours a week.. What am I going to do with a computer..?" They do start at 3:30AM seven days a week.. and I've seen them there past 5:30 in the evening! Often their son comes in and closes the place up.. and Sundays are very busy.. they have some helpers.. Recently she broke her hip..they closed for a couple weeks.. I see that it's open.., so going to get my "regular glazed and a small coffee" and find out how everything is.. I hope somebody has or will write a story on them and this cool spot.. 1904 IS the address and the clue behind the World's Fair name..

I grew up in south city and used to go here every weekend. Went today after going to the farmers market in Tower Grove. Asked for 2 donuts , 2 drinks and a plant for my wife. I was shocked after we were given. 6 crusty old donuts that looked like they were baked a week ago and no we didn’t ask for 4 extra donuts but we were definitely charged for them. Our total should’ve been $10.75. Instead we were charged $16.25 for the “free”donuts he gave us. The donuts were also cold as if they had been refrigerated and put back out for sale. I’ll never go back to this location. I wanted my wife to taste the donuts they used to make . We were terribly disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money here . I’ve had better donuts at the grocery store.

I went World Fair Donut numerous times because I like their glazed donut. The only problem until now is the brown hair senior citizen lady is very rude and mean. It doesn’t matter how rude she treated me, I always remain calm and nice to her. One time I came in for three dozen of a mixture of three types of donuts (glaze, chocolate glaze, and cream top glaze). She got mad and told me that I should call ahead with that many order. I didn’t think 3 dozen is that many? Another time, she didn’t like that I ordered two dozen of glazed, I should mix them up and save the glaze for other customers. A couple times she just ignores me standing there and waiting to place an order. She was busy talking and serving someone she knew grew up in her neighborhood that entered the store after me. This morning was the last draw. I will never go back there again and had to let people know my experience. The shop opened at 4 am. I got there at 4:30 am. They only have a few donuts for sale and there were no glaze donuts. I told her that I like the glaze. She told me to come back in 30 minutes and she will have more donuts. Where am I going to go at 4 in the morning so I just waited in the car? Half an hour later, I went into the shop and she said: “here you go three dozens, $21 and I mixed up for you” and handed me three boxes. I told her that I never wanted them mixed up with different types; I just wanted the glaze and chocolate glaze. She got upset and start removing the donuts from the boxes with her bared hand (no gloves, napkins.), placing the donuts back in the tray for sale. Thank goodness that she did refill my boxes with the glaze using waxed paper to pick up the donuts. I took the donuts to work and everyone told me that they tasted different. Co-workers could not believe that they were from the World Fair Donuts. The glaze donuts were not airy and fluffy as we were used to coming from the World Fair. They were a bit dense and dried. Everyone was asking me if the donuts were sold to me fresh and they could have been leftovers. I told my co-workers that I waited for half an hour for them so how can they be leftover. I’ll never know the truth about what...

We really wanted donuts on our recent trip to St. Louis, and a google search for "best donuts in St. Louis" led us to World's Fair. Alton Brown said they were the best around, and who am I to argue with Alton Brown?? We could not believe the prices (just under $7 for a full mixed dozen). We tried frosted long johns, basic glazed, and frosted cake donuts, but the best by far were the buttermilk cake. Depending on where you're from, you might know them as sour cream donuts. They're very similar. They were the best I've ever had, anywhere. And I really, really love donuts! The shop itself is small, the staff was friendly, and the location is really nice (near the botanical garden in a cute little neighborhood with fun local shops nearby). The place was not over-crowded, but there was a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. One customer would leave, and someone new would immediately walk in the door. They seemed to have a loyal customer base, b/c you could tell some of them were regulars that the owner recognized. Please stop in and give them your business, and for heaven's sake, do yourself a favor and try those buttermilk cake donuts. The other stuff was fine, but those were the star.

Editing to add that it is cash only, so...
