I wish that I could give them less than a 1 star rating. I went in 8 days in advance to making a catering order. When I went in to order, the girl working the register told me that the manager wasn't there to take the catering order. I told her that that was perfectly fine and asked when a manager would be working for me to come back and place the order. She then decided that she could take the order. She pulled out a piece of what looked like scrap paper and asked me what I wanted. She wrote my order and name on the piece of paper and told me that I was good to go. I had to tell her the day that I wanted the order for because she didn't even ask when writing it down. On the day of the event, I called to ask if it would be possible to pick up the order 30 minutes earlier than I had originally told them. When I called, I was told by the man on the phone that there was no record of my order. I explained what I had ordered, and I was told that there was no manager working so he would have to call them. He tried to hang up the phone without getting my name or number to call me back. Surprisingly, he actually called me back a few minutes later. He told me that he was "not prepared to make a 3ft sandwich (my order) today" so he would not be able to do it. I then asked what they were going to do to fix the situation because I was hosting a party a few hours later that I needed food for. He then offered me an option to get less food for more money than I was originally quoted and told me that was all that he could do. I know the average food service employee does not care about customers who say that they'll never go to that establishment again because it's not their profit's being effected, but in a small town like this, a bad review can really hurt a business. I was not offered any sort of reasonable alternative for them messing up my catering order, and I will be sharing this experience with anyone who will listen. My husband and I have always enjoyed being customers of Larry's, but we will never bring our business...
Read moreLove Larry’s Giant Subs, BUT…this place, wtheck? What happened? Did the owner decide he’s giving up? It’s dirty, order taker obviously didn’t want to be there. It’s so loud, but she wouldn’t speak up and got visibly frustrated when taking order. Anywho, don’t have time to stop someplace else at this time and we really wanted Larry’s (cause it’s usually amazing) but we probably should’ve left. Coke machine station is absolutely disgusting with the broom tray bubbling into a hose thats flowing into a mob bucket in front of it on the floor…guess we’re suppose to lean around this nastiness to get a soda? (Tea looked safer, so we got that.) Oh, bathroom is out of order. So if you want to wash up before you eat or need to reprieve yourself, it ain’t happening. (Where do the workers go?) Well, get our order (without napkins) and WOW…i can’t believe the amount of wrong/missing toppings on both subs. Especially when they give you the ticket that plainly says what’s “suppose” to be on the sub. This subs weren’t just made wrong (we ate them anyway) but they amount of meat on the subs was totally lacking. You know when you bite into an eclair or fried mozzarella stick and you have hollow bites? Same thing here. And they were only 8” subs. Where’s the meat? I know there’s a staffing shortage, made apparent by the help water signs in the windows, but that doesn’t mean food quality should suffer or the customer that pays for an expectant/specific item should be short changed. I really am a Larry’s lover, but I don’t foresee a return visit to this particular establishment in my near...
Read moreHello everyone. On February 25, 2022 I was in the mood for a good sub while shopping at the Walmart in Kingsland and no!!! not a Subway sub but something above. I saw Larry's Giant Subs in the same complex as Walmart so I thought I'd give them a try. Before I continue a bit about me. I am from New York and Northern New Jersey so when I saw in the window of Larry's New York style subs my reaction was "Yeah Right""?????? I'm also a Chef at two major high volume venue's near Kingsland so I know food, value, and quality. As soon as I went inside it smelled like a Sub Shop. The attendant was extremely helpful. He explained the menu to me, so here is my order folks! I ordered a 12 inch sub and an 8 inch sub with the following items. Ham, turkey, roast beef, peppered ham and capicola. Banana peppers, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and oregano. The bill came to $22.00. When I arrived home look at the pictures I posted and see what I was given. Less than a 1/4 inch of meat, and barely any cheese. I expected both sandwiches to be heavy considering that I ordered 6 meats!
Bottom line. Value I give a 1). Quality I give a 5). Taste I give a 6). Customer service I will give an 8). Just because the young man at the counter was AWESOME. This was a first and last time experience for me at Larry's Giant Subs. I could have gone to Subway and recieved...
