Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Stafford Township

Today I went to Rita’s in hopes I was gonna have a good mint custard (which I’ve gotten one other time and it was fine) , but unfortunately the taste was off, and I got it with chocolate sprinkles on a kids cone. I had brought my concerns to the manager in hopes of being able to get an exchange, which he told me that I had eaten more than half of it, which is impossible because I only had a couple of licks(also a kids size) of it until I realized that it was absolutely off putting & the taste is still on my tongue as I write this review, I was treated extremely poorly and he wanted nothing to do with me, and completely dismissed me in front of everybody. Also, he said he tasted it and it was fine but anyone could tell you it tasted like rotten milk & i payed aswell as tipped!! He said he couldn’t exchange it because we didnt like it, when that wasn't the case! He completely conducted business in the wrong manner & he lost two customers & customers families! What a horrible business owner. Also is dirty so no surprise the mint custard went bad! It wasn’t that i didn’t like it, ive had it there before and it was good, it was that it tastes like it went bad this time. why is this owners arrogance and ego getting in the way of conducting good business omg he is the worst , wow i’m applauded. The girls who work at Manahawkin location are rude and are discriminating. Today was free Italian ice day for spring. I work with adults with disabilities. I went to the window to ask if you could please bring the ice to the bus because I can not bring anyone in a wheelchair down on the wheelchair lift. 1. Because I had to pull along side the high way 2. A handicap vehicle will not fit in the space they have available - the girl behind the counter said they each had to be on line and come to the counter. My co worker explain how some of our individuals would not be able to get off the bus and she reiterated what she said. My 2 co workers and my self used our free cup of Italian ice for 3 individuals who really did not or could not get off of the bus. Again because of the parking situation. After all of the clients had their ice, my co workers and I decided maybe we would like some too. The girls behind the counter said that we could not have one because we received one already. So we bought them. The same size that was free for everyone else we paid almost 6 dollars...

Terrible service and experience. My boyfriend and i went there and tried to order basic things such as a blendini and a custard. Every time we spoke we were looked at as if we were speaking a different language. The lady was rude her faces were absolutely appalling. We both got out of line and left because of the way we were talked to and looked at made us extremely uncomfortable. The lady was an older lady with blonde hair and had a black jacket on...looked to be like a higher up. Lost my business and definitely will not go back to an establishment that made me...
