Donut Delight — Restaurant in Stamford

If you happen to be in Fairfield County, forget about Dunkin, this is definitely the go to place for donuts and coffee. Note that not all Donut Delights are created equal! The one on Hope St. in Stamford seem to always stock the most variety of donuts and pastries, never having a shortage of what I want. However the location advertises being open 24 hours, I went there close to midnight two times now and they refuse to sell me their donuts at those times citing that they will be available in the morning. When you advertise being open 24 hours, I would absolutely expect that all products and amenities be available at all times of the day (or night). The front door is locked for the night but when I drove around I still saw plenty on their shelves. Don't know why this is an issue... Went to the Norwalk location was able to purchase food through the drive-thru at 11:30 pm just fine. Granted the Norwalk one only had 3 varieties available...

Today I copped a sausage egg cheese croissant and tea... They did the croissant just as I asked... I love that. Dunkin donuts when I ask they always still burn the croissant. I always ask lightly toasted. The meat they use seems better than dunkin. Dunkin I keep biting on tiny bones in the sausages. And the tea... well they forgot the cream.. since I said light with 3 sugars but that's OK. I'll add the cream later. I wanted it for when I got home. My car has 106 degrees showing today so I wasn't interested in drinking it right then and there. The lady at the window was real nice.

Another store near a FedEx around ardmore rd also does good too with my requests & are welcoming in their demeanor.

I wish there were more of these in CT and not just in the...

The service, products, and overall feel of donut delight is a 5 out of 5. Too many stories over the years, most recent one was today.

Came here with a dog, they politely told me that dogs are not allowed in the building, but she would put in my order and bring out my order. When the attendant brought me my coffee, bagel, and change, she also brought out a bowl of water for the pup.

Try getting that thoughtfulness at Dunkin or Starbucks, not a chance....

The coffee is outstanding as well, easily besting the likes of Dunkin, Starbucks just tastes engineered at this point for me. Coffee here is great black, and even better with cream and sugar
