Westover Pizzeria II — Restaurant in Stamford

I am writing in regard to a bad experience at the Hope Street location today (3/8/24) when I went in to pick up an order of chicken wings and a cheese pizza.

I went in after being told my order would be ready in 30 minutes, walked in and my order of chicken wings was done but not my ONE pizza that I had called to place an hour before. To wait a whole hour for a single pizza, while the other half of my order sat there getting cold, is unbelievable.

The worst part of it came when I waited the additional ten minutes the staff said to wait, and then asked if it was ready (again, I had been waiting a whole hour and had already paid the whole order) when an extremely rude staff member told another staff member to tell me that I couldn’t cancel, and if I did, I would have to pay for PIZZA THAT I HADNT RECEIVED or else I couldn’t leave.

It is appalling to get this response from a person working in customer service, especially when I had not been rude at all. Not only this, the fact that this was her response without even knowing that I had already paid for my order is absolutely disgusting.

I was both shocked and disappointed to have been treated in this way and believe you should be made aware of your employee's actions. I trust that this is not the way that you do business, but after years of ordering from here, I will no longer be giving my...

This branch office of the Westover Pizza on Stillwater is just as amazing as the original, just bigger and with more seating. The staff at both are friendly and accommodating, with the best NYC style pizza in the area. CT New Haven style pizza is good, but I was raised on the good stuff, and Westover delivers. Literally. And their soups, salads and dishes are generous and delicious too. And they have a "two and a can" lunch special, two hot plain slices and a can of soda, for $5. These days, that's a great value. Should have kept walking by. Maybe I am cranky. Maybe covid is getting to me. This is the second time I thought I needed to review a restaurant this week.
