We had dinner and found COCKROACH in one of our favorite dish, Peking style pork chop. We used to love Pearl East so much that came for lunch and dinner quite often. But this time the cockroach shocked us. We found a cockroach in the middle of the dish after we had eaten a few pieces on top of it. We reported it immediately and the general manager said she could offer a replacement for the dish. We didn't want to eat anything in the restaurant anymore because we were not sure the safety and hygiene of other dishes. We asked for waive the meal, after a while, she approved it. We wanted to talk to the owner about the hygiene issue and the general manager claimed she is the owner at the meantime. She said it's common to see cockroach in restaurant and it happened in the past. Besides, she mentioned that in the past there were some NICE customers who insisted to pay for the full meal when they found cockroach while the restaurant offered them to waive the meal. Does it mean we are not NICE customer because we asked to waive the meals. We asked them what they can do with the situation? The general manager who claimed she is the owner said they could do nothing. We hope they can realize it's unacceptable to find cockroach in food when serving customers especially during pandemic HYGIENE is the most important thing. Cockroach carries diseases. Read moreThroughout all of my asian cuisine seeking, this place has left the most phenomenal impact in my journey. The staff treated everyone in my party like family, and it was truly touching to see how heartwarming and dedicated they are to their jobs. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, and it increased my experience exponentially. Subsequently, the food was also absolutely scrumptious. It felt like the chef put in all of his effort into each and every one of the dishes he served as the food was not only flavorful, but also mouthwatering. The service was surprisingly quick, and don’t even get me started with the quality of the food. Each ingredient the chef used seemed exceptionally fresh, which made the food undeniably the best asian food I have ever tasted. This place should certainly be on your devoured list. The general tso’s chicken was my favorite dish. The dish had a combination of the ideal amount of spice, sweetness, and sourness, which made each bite seemed like a dream come true. Each piece of chicken was tender and soft, and the food was served hot and ready to be demolished. All in all, this restaurant touched all of the top criterias that I have for a restaurant and I would give it a 100/5 stars if I could. Come check this restaurant out, because you will 100% not...
Read moreThis has got to be the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Connecticut. Service was terrible if any. Waitress was so rude and took our order as if we were bothering her. I was visiting Stamford from New York City, if any restaurant in New York City was like this, it would not last a year before being shut down by the board of health. I should have listened to my gut feeling when we were the only customers in the restaurant, we should have turned around and left but I did not want to be rude. We order egg rolls, pan fried noodles with beef, and shrimp fried rice. I frequent restaurants and pretty much know how these dishes should be made. Everything was so greasy, you can taste the oil. The beef was over tenderized with baking soda, so much that you can taste the powdery residue. The food was just awful and not hot. It was barely warm. We took a few bites and asked for the check, we did not take anything to go, just want to get out of there fast....
