Village Bagels — Restaurant in Stamford

My family and I love the fresh bagels and cream cheese varieties from here however my rating would be higher if the customer service was better. Early this afternoon when they were not busy the lady helping me was rude, did not smile one bit and tried to rush me as I was quickly deciding what to get for my family that we have not tried yet. I was quick to decide and always said please and thank you but the service I received was not too kind or welcoming. Unfortunately I could not get a name of the individual and I was never offered a receipt either. We love the food here but today I did not feel too welcome as it seemed she just wanted me out the door like I was personally bothering her. The bagels at Village Bagels are fantastic, however there were some issues with cleanliness, especially during this time with Covid. They didn't have one of those plastic screens, which I was surprised about, though it didn't really bother me. What bothered me was that they were wearing gloves, got and prepared our food, went to the register, took our credit card, then went back to prepare the next customer's food all with the same pair of gloves. This used to be my favourite place as a child, it seems like they changed the ownership as well as my first time back in a while and everything has changed for the worse. On top of that the taller guy who served me was very unhygienic, unsanitary and provided very poor customer service.
