This hotel impressed us with the photo in the advertisement, a very nice lobby and large entrance, but when they gave us the room the walls were dirty, the carpets were old, the room was dirty, the bathroom furniture broken peeling off, the bathroom fan dirty and moldy ; the TV remote control no good, the television old; the bed was a full size, the refrigerator making noise, a total disaster. I was charged $286 a night, finally after complaining to the manager, I was issued a credit because they understood the hotel needs to be renovated and painted. This place is beautiful 😍 . We went for breakfast on a Tuesday and enjoyed ourselves. The service from 1875/ Ramdas was superb! He was personable but NOT in a weird OR annoying way. Ramdas was very detailed oriented and accommodating. However, the 4 stars were given because the steak was gross. I want to be clear that it was the steak ordered from the breakfast menu. I ordered medium rare, and it still came out hard. The steak literally tasted like it was pre-cooked, placed in a refrigerator, and then reheated in a microwave 😳 I didn't take a pic, hoping it was a one-off thing! I wanted to have a quick bite. I thought that 30 minutes was enough. I ordered a clam chowder, the manager came after 15 minutes, no more chowder. Asked for a chicken noodle soup, got it after 5 minutes, without a spoon. The waiter disappeared. I was able to find a tablespoon. To save time, I tried to get the bill. Waiter kept ignoring me.
