Located inside the Rodeo 39 Public Market, Shootz serves up Hawaiian-inspired eats.
They're located near the end of the market and do have tables at their location or you can choose outdoor seating.
Their menu is pretty straight forward with not too much but just enough for you to pick something. I ended up getting one of their combos with Katsu, Shrimp and Musubi.
Unfortunately, the food was starting to taste salty after a number of bites. The katsu was coated in a good amount of breading, but like I said it was starting to taste salty. Same with the shrimp. The musubi didn't have much or any sauce at all. Just drizzled on top. The mac salad was creamy and a bit bland.
I really wanted to like this place but my palate was just not happy.
On a brighter note, their drinks, I think it was their flavored lemonade- was really refreshing though!
They do get really busy so I suggest ordering online if you plan on giving them a try or after you order, just walk...
Read moreI ordered the hot kimchi butter katsu chicken sandwich and omg it was the tastiest thing I’ve had in a while. It’s hands-down a favorite now. The chicken was delicious, the mac salad was perfect, and the bun tied it all together perfectly. For $6.99 too?! I was satisfied with one, but I can definitely eat 2 if I’m really hungry (don’t judge me.) I will definitely be back to try everything else on their menu. Their prices are really good and they also have family-sized meals. The staff was suuuper sweet and friendly! (The employees helping me kept complimenting my outfit 😂💕 so sweet) I seriously can’t wait to be back. I took my food to enjoy at the beach, and it was still delicious, but I’m sure the food is even better when eaten there, which is what I will do next time.
They were one of the busier spots in there (and I now know why) but they were quick to help their customers. I also appreciated the fact that I could order...
Read moreI have never had Hawaiian BBQ before, but I've always been very interested, and this place is definitely the right spot to try! I didn't realize this location was inside of a mall, so prepare to find parking, and then walk inside of the food court. Also, be prepared for the extremely high prices. If you want to save some money, grab one of their spicy chicken sandwiches, or do their 2 sandwiches for like $13, which is a great deal. But I got the spicy chicken katsu plate, with spam fried rice and Mac, it was DELICIOUS, oh my gosh!! So juicy and flavorful l, I would honestly come back and spend the $20 again to have this if I was ever in the area. So much flavor, so if you are ready to spend the $$$, then definitely try this place. The drinks sounded pretty good, but they are like $5 each, which would have brought me to $25 for one person, so I didn't get the drink. They also charge for sauce. I'm pretty happy I...
