To be 100% honest I found this restaurant by accident, the other day I was asked to drop someone off further down the road on Western Ave. I noticed the big sign and the signs in the window peaked my interest. Loving to try new restaurants is my passion. So today I decided to purchase a couple of meals from there. Camarones rancheros plate and a shrimp salad. I did have a special request and it was gladly accepted. I am not a fan of beans so I asked for double rice. The prices was flavorful with just the right amount of corn, onions, carrots and salsa. Best tasting spanish rice I have had in months. Served hot which I appreciated and noticed immediately. The shrimp were arranged in a ranchero sauce teeming with 2 kinds of bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. The aroma of the ranch style shrimp made it difficult to drive home without sampling the dish. The food was piping hot which most restaurants these days fail in serving a hot meal. Because they misunderstood my order they gave me a complimentary drink to go with my meal while I waited. It was definitely worth waiting for, to get a meal that is wonderful from the first bite to the last was refreshing. No only suggestion would be to make the sauce with a bit more kick to the sauce, by adding jalapeños or other spicy peppers to enhance the dining experience. The employees were amazing and extremely friendly. Since I needed to wait a bit longer to get my food because of the mix up, one employee engaged me in a pleasant conversation while I waited. Unexpected but appreciated the family touch. I fully expected to eat the shrimp salad later for my dinner but the camarones rancheros quenched my appetite with leftovers to spare. I will be tasting the salad tomorrow and may have a review on the salad tomorrow. Looking at the shrimp salad and the variety of vegetables that were placed on it I am certain I will fall in love with this salad also. Everything about this experience was top notch. Portion size, service, friendliness and cost were all exceptional and begs then consumer to want to visit this establishment again and again. I will definitely return to try their breakfast menu, soon. Place offers American and Mexican cuisine plus throw in some seafood for good measures. If you are looking for great service with a smile, tasty food, inexpensive prices and large portions I highly recommend foing to Terry's Cafe, worth the effort. They even have a drive-thru for...
Read moreMy Boss always get their chicken burrito and I tried it once, it was huge and tasted pretty good. I wanted some taquitos today for lunch so I ordered them... big mistake!!! They use frozen Posadas taquitos(yes I saw the box when they were remaking my order as they didn't follow the directions for my online order pick up time. I'm sorry $11 bucks for frozen taquitos like you get at the grocery in completely unacceptable. I could buy the whole box for less than $10 bucks. The beans were super salty and the avocado sauce... you have got to be kidding me, it was disgusting. I am so bummed about my purchase. I was really hoping it was going to be good. I really wanted it to be. The staff was pretty friendly and seemed accommodating too bad the food I had was so bad. They should put on their menu that they are frozen because everything else looks homemade. I am just very...
