Panda Express — Restaurant in Starkville

Arrived at 10:03 on Sunday 6/15/2025 went through the drive through. The time on the Google site says open at 10:00am the automatic message said they were closed in the drive through.I pulled around to the front to open the door it was locked 10:05 there were people who looked at me and kept preparing food. I gave them some time to do their job but no one came to area to tell me “mam give us a few minutes “ they just continued their jobs. The weather was nice and I was on the phone having a good convo so I gave them a Little more time because my child really wanted Panda Express and we live 30 minutes away. I sat there until a group of men showed up and the people inside acknowledging their presence and came to check the door and said “y’all can come inside”. I did ask the young lady..”oh you didn’t see me out there “ ? I went to the restroom first and it was nasty and not stocked glad I had wet wipes in my purse! When I got to the counter the cashier said we just opened at 1030 and I said okay it’s 10 on the website ..that’s cool but even when you first open your counter should be fresh and stocked, the drink machine should have been on, the restroom should be clean and the chairs should not be sticky! Personally, I'm not a big fan of PE, but my gf is, and we go here occasionally. I've been to others, and they all far surpass this one. Of the dozen times we've been here, we've maybe had one good experience. Busy or slow, early or late, this Panda usually has horrible service and tiny portions (if they even have any food out at all). The last experience had to be the worst one. They gave the normal attitude, and they had absolutely nothing good ready. When my gf and her sister asked them to make something, one girl said they could while another said they couldn't a minute later. It was a little over an hour before closing, and they were enthusiastically cleaning and prepping for close but apparently couldn't be bothered to make some food that should have already been out in the first place. Needless to say we had to wait 20 minutes for our food, and one girl even tried to convince my gf to mix some old food with her fresh after all that time. Personally I think PE in general is way too stingy and overpriced, but this one takes it to a whole new level. Save yourself a few bucks and go across the street to China Garden, you'll get way more quality, quantity, and service...

There’s a young lady with braids with a lot of discoloration on her neck that was very rude when I picked up my to go in the drive through. She stared at me for seconds before she made a rude statement and then she walked away. The manager should probably do a mental evaluation on this employee as I’m not sure if she’s fit mentally to interact with customers. I sprained my ankle and was simply not able to get out the car so I went through drive through to pick up my online orders and was treated horribly. The worker had a filthy attitude and wouldn’t work at my establishment if I was managing the place. No one put a gun to her head you make her go to work. That’s the thing, if you don’t like your job then don’t go to work. But seriously keep your eyes on her. Something ain’t right in her head.
