We went to Raising Cane’s in State College on a Saturday night at the end of February. After waiting awhile to get inside and get close the kiosks to order, a young man scooted past me to go to the restrooms since you have to pass by the entire order line to get to the restrooms at the back of the store. I thought nothing if it, as he went back the hallway to where the restrooms were located. When he came back from the restrooms, he spent some time talking to what looked like one of the managers of the restaurant at the end of the order counter. After a little bit of conversation, he returned to his group of friends who were in line behind us, grabbed them, and they skipped the entire line to go up front and order straight from the manager that he was talking to. After this long of a wait, it’s especially frustrating 1) when people skip line and 2) when one of the workers/managers knowingly lets it happen and aides the people that skipped the line by personally taking their orders. The service from the other employees was good and I am not complaining about the wait as it was one of the busiest weekends at PSU, but the worker/manager knowingly allowing people to skip that large of a line and go in front of people who have been waiting for a lengthy amount of time certainly rubbed me the wrong way as it set a bad example for the values that this restaurant holds. I wish I could’ve figured out the workers name who let the group of 6 people behind us skip the entire line, but I didn’t see her come back out front while I was there.. Again, this worker set a bad example for what the restaurant allows to happen. The food was good, but my appetite was spoiled by the injustice that the worker allowed. I’d like to think something may be done, but I’m not too sure that this review will get a response. Either way, I want to put this out there so other patrons can understand how this restaurant functions and base their decision to eat here off of it. I had very high hopes for raising canes, as it was my first time eating there, but I was severely let down by the actions of the...

A friend and I just got takeout from Cane’s an hour ago. I’ve never seen such a disorganized mess in my life. A worker yelled out they were out of coleslaw. I ordered off the kiosk and wasn’t even given the option to print out a receipt (it wasn’t working). We got our food and we weren’t even compensated for the fact we didn’t get coleslaw. No extra fries or bread- nothing. We wanted sweet tea, and lo and behold there was hardly any on the machine. I poured a little in my cup then just topped it off with unsweet tea. The ice machine for customers to use wasn’t working, so a worker handed everyone a pre-filled cup of ice. This really sucked, considering it was my friend’s first time at Raising Cane’s, and this was our experience. The workers were pleasant and the food we did get was good, but those are the only positives. The general manager here needs to order larger quantities of food items so they don’t run out. I mean, this is State. College (Penn State University) which is always busy with activities, events, students, and visitors. They shouldn’t run out of food and drinks at 6:30pm on a Sunday. Disappointing. Please take a lesson from the Raising Cane’s in Westminster, Maryland, who have never run out of any food or drinks and know how to order and manage...

I visited this location back in July, and had a WONDERFUL experience! The guy at the counter was cheerful, and just interacting with him brightened my day. When I got my food, it was fresh and tasty. I was looking forward to returning when I was in town again! That opportunity came last week. Unfortunately, my experience was much different this time. Though several workers were behind the counter, they seemed to be avoiding eye contact. When one finally acknowledged me, she pointed me over to a kiosk to order (I don’t mind kiosks at all… I was glad to learn they have them… but I thought it was rude the way she had directed me there in an unfriendly manner). When I got my food, it was old and limp. As I ate it, I found myself hoping I wouldn’t end up with food poisoning. As suspected, the food did not agree with my system.

What a let down this last experience was, especially considering how great my visit was in July. I don’t imagine I’ll be returning to this particular location in the future. Not...

When I walked into Raising Canes for my first time located in the busy street of Downtown, State College, I was welcomed to see the design of the newly built dine-in place in all its glory. You can’t go without seeing one piece of memorabilia on the wall as Raising Canes is filled with it’s Penn State spirit as well as an amazing drawn picture of the king, Elvis Presley. Raising Canes delivers with its food as well as they do with its design. I tried the 3 chicken fingers combo and I must say, it competes well with the other fast-food chicken place known as Chick-fil-a. Raising Canes stands to hold its own ground, however, with its refreshing lemonade, soft but tasteful French fries, and a piece of bread to top it all off. The chicken fingers have a nice crisp to them with each bite you take, not to mention the outstanding Raising Canes sauce. All in all, Raising Canes is a must visit whenever you come by State College as it lives up to all the other hot hit food places Downtown has to offer.

We tried this place because it recently opened and have heard many good things. There really wasn't anything special about it. The secret sauce was good. The chicken strips were just like all other chicken strips and the fries didn't stand out either, but their food is still good. I just can't seem to come up with something to comment on that sets this restaurant apart from others that are similar. Pros: *Fast service *Simple menu (chicken strips, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw) *Food is good Cons: *Nothing spectacular or unique that really stands out Overall, Raising Cane's Chicken is ok. I like their food, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to eat there.

By far the best chicken strips I’ve ever had! Flavorful, juicy, crispy, and man, that sauce did not disappoint! The fries were fresh and flavorful, and the toast was thick and well toasted and buttered. The tea and lemonade were both tasty, although a tad sweet. They also give you a lot of food - the Caniac Combo which was $18 fed three of us girls! The service was crazy fast, and my only complaint would be how loud the music was, making it super hard to talk at all. Regardless, I’m coming back!
