We had a I wonderful date night at The Koop yesterday night. The vibe was comfortable and fun. You get to snag a menu and grab a seat for dine in. Which is nice since we could take our time making a decision on what we wanted to try first. The staff was helpful and friendly. He made great recommendations to us. While waiting for our food we enjoyed the cute, hilarious and rowdy doodles on the wall. Fun to spot funny signatures and add ourselves to the collection

The boneless and the whole chicken were delicious! Both my sons, who LOVE Korean Fried l, said it was the best chicken they have had! The flavor goes to the bone! The chicken was also super juicy!
We also got the specialty dumplings which is vegetable dumplings covered with mozzarella cheese. We crushed that im just a few bites! It is the perfect item to munch on after a stressful day- which for us was the Nov 1st early deadlines. We got tteokbokkin to go and cannot wait to dig into the spicy rice cakes at home. We capped off the dinner with the fish pastries filled with custard and red beans - which are so yummy and nice to eat while still warm. The edges are crisp and the middle is soft and moist.
We are also grateful that they accommodated for nut allergies.
Overall, this was a great introduction for our oldest to the Happy Valley area. He said he can see himself coming back to The Koop after classes. He felt very comfortable there.
Thank you for making our first night at Penn State a memorablr and...
Read moreHorrible customer service we ordered three corndogs they told us it would be 10 minutes. We came back 20 minutes later and waited another 15 minutes while sitting there and we never received our corndogs all the people that ordered in front behind us all received their food when we asked her what was going on. She said she hadn’t even started making them and that would be another 10 minutes so a total of 45 minutes to an hour for three corn dogs is highly unacceptable so they continue to play around in the back and then 10 minutes later she still had not taken the time to make the corndog. I’ve never seen such a crazy situation. If you guys need more staff, you should hire more staff, especially on the weekends, but to say 10 minutes and have it be 45 and then when you walked over to start making the corndog, you used your bare hands I was done and asked for a refund , it’s fine....
