As a mom of a 15-month-old, I was amazed by how well the children’s area at Schlow Centre Region Library is set up. It’s spacious, beautifully organized, and filled with open-ended activities — puzzles, blocks, toys, puppets, and more.
Unlike many Bay Area libraries I’ve been to, this one actually offers variety and age-appropriate play for babies and toddlers, not just an indoor playground feel. My little one had such a great time exploring and engaging with everything, and I could see how much she was learning while playing.

Read moreAs a librarian myself I can confidently say Schlow is one of the best libraries I have ever been to. To start, there is outdoor parking and underground parking. They have several self check out stations and self service hold pick up. The children's room is huge and has a large amount of staff to provide great youth programming. The second floor is massive and has plenty of tables and seats tucked in and spread out.

Inter-library loan usually takes care of the rest. I use the adult library, so not sure what children's library is like even though they have a large room on first floor.
