Every time we dine at India Pavilion, the cuisine and the ambiance instantly transports us to our beloved India. Every bite is an exquisite savouring of many layers of spices and textures to delight the senses. Whether it's Lamb Saag, Chana Masala, Vegetable Korma, or Chicken Vindaloo, you'll know it's the real deal at India Pavilion. Simply exquisite. No dinner is complete without our favourite Mango Lassi, Gulab Jamun, Keer, or Mango Kulfi.
India Pavilion is family-owned, and that's why there's so much flavour and so much love in every dish. Sohan, Baljinder, and the entire family work very hard to bring the very best Indian cuisine to Happy Valley. We are so very grateful! The entire family is super nice, warm and welcoming!
We have had the pleasure of dining at India Pavilion for the past 28 years. We have always had an excellent experience dining at India Pavilion! We have also had many large events catered by India Pavilion -- excellent, as always!
If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a grand culinary adventure for the senses.
Happy 28th Anniversary, India Pavilion! You are the epitome of excellence.

Read moreIndia Pavilion dishes packed flavor with well spiced curry ranging from mild to hot and tender choices of meat. Even though the actual food tasted great with reasonable portions, the customer service was not palatable. The bad service began when I arrived at India Pavilion, my friend and I went entered for the first time and apparently we arrived 8 mins earlier than the restaurant is technically open. I apologized and asked if it was ok if we just sat down and waited patiently because it was hot outside. The staff said no and told us to come back in 8 mins. We came back 8 mins later after waiting outside in the sun and were ready to fulfill our hunger. The simple caveats began to evolve into a real customer service gap. The waiter did not check in on my table at all and to make sure everything was fine, the kitchen had forgotten my drink and we were sitting around for awhile before I got up and asked for the bill because our waiter was busy dust panning underneath a dismantled booth not even glancing over at our table. I'm not sure why the waiter was tasking while in the middle of serving our table, however the manager seemed to have instructed him to do so. I want to recommend this place, but cannot because I would not want anyone else to be disappointed by the customer...
Read moreI have had Indian food in London and New York (but not India!)-- I have had northern Indian, like this, and ananda bhavan southern Indian as well. The amazing thing, I think, is that India Pavilion serves such a wide range of delicious entrees in a college town tucked away in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. Seriously, the restaurant would not be out of place among the Indian joints of East 6th Street on New York's Lower East Side. All the saag dishes are terrific; the navratan korma, baingan bhartha, and daal makhani are brilliant vegetarian entrees; the chicken in chicken dishes is always tender. Everything is fresh and delicately spiced. My only disappointments have been with the lamb entrees-- everything else has been solid. I have not sampled the vindaloo, but I have asked them to bring the heat on many other dishes and have had wonderfully palate-pleasing and sinus-clearing dinners. Highly...
