On my trip to Happy Valley, I ate at Pine Grove Hall and The Tavern, two restaurants bringing an elevated dining experience to the region. Pine Grove Hall is a restaurant, concert venue and event space. We ordered the cucumber salad, fried quail, charred snap peas and quail egg toast. I also got a cocktail, Hot Lips, which was a spicy mezcal drink and dessert, a dark chocolate torte. The Tavern is a well-known Happy Valley staple and a restaurant I’ve eaten at many times over the years. They recently completed an interior renovation giving the establishment a more modern feel while retaining the historical exterior. We shared the charcuterie board and I ordered the Pan Seared Halibut for my main course. The Central PA CVB is a great asset to visitors and residents alike. While it does serve as the friendly face of our community to thousands of visitors a year, it does so much more than simply providing maps and warm welcomes.

The CVB provides grants to local non-profits and athletic clubs to help market their events; it lends experience to local businesses and start-ups; and it has provided a voice in support of Centre County's numerous events, trails, creeks and other recreation opportunities.

Sure the mascot doesn't really say a lot, it just flips its ears and gives high fives... but the friendly staff makes up for it. Thanks CPCVB for everything yins are doing up...
