I'm not too sure how I feel about this place. Last year I was on the search for a new dermatologist and found Skin & Vein. Before booking my appointment, I consulted with my insurance provider to make sure they were in network and under coverage. After confirming they were, I went ahead and was able to schedule a yearly check up with them via phone.
When my appointment time came around and I got called back to the room I was asked what brought me in for the visit. I had mentioned that it was a few years since I saw a dermatologist and I just wanted a general full body scan from a professional. I was under the impression this was a normal thing from office to office. I was then told that I could not do that during my visit and my first visit with their office had to be an appointment with an area of concern BEFORE they were able to do a full body check. I was never told this when initially booking my appointment. Being that I did have a troubled area on my body, I had them check that out. After that area was checked out, they ended up removing a spot. Before leaving I scheduled an appointment to finally do the full body scan that I originally went in there for. Once that appointment came around, they had already taken notes from my initial visit of "areas of concern". When the doctor came into the room he already had two areas he wanted to check out that were noted from the previous visit. Both in which were area's that needed removal. Thankfully these areas all came back negative and fine but just the whole situation with this business doesn't sit right with me. I was billed for all three removals and quite shocked with the price tag that came along with it. Read moreJust would like to start off by saying, the staff is absolutely unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I wish I was able to give 0 stars. As a patient, I should not be coming in and automatically receiving attitude from the people at the front desk. This is the WORST office hands down. Every time I have came there I have waited longer than 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I’ve had multiple horrible stories with this place. My family members and I have went there a couple times and told us to leave after they have mistakenly told us that our insurance expired. The front desk has argued and yelled at my family member after incidents that have been their fault. They have no idea how to schedule appointments or cancel them. I have left work thats 40 minutes away from this office to go to my appointment and they told me that I didn’t have an appointment that day after I rescheduled. There has been a time where I went there and they made me leave because the primary doctor I see wasn’t in the office. They apologized for not calling earlier to inform me that he was sick, but that’s unacceptable when I have priorities like my job where I was. They should give me the money for missing work for nothing. The front desk is rude to every single patient that walks through the door. Dr. Blane is the best doctor, however; they need to fire the entire front desk staff. Every single one of those ladies are EXTREMELY rude. Do. Not. Come. Here. Find another place. You will have the worst experience here solely because of the employees at the front desk. They book over 100 patients a day, that is no exaggeration. Read moreI've been going to skin and vein center for i would say almost 16 years and I've been satisfied with their services almost every time. Over the years I mainly saw Julie! Great provider! My last few visits was with Blaine who is very knowledgeable and very professional! I've noticed change in staff. Those older employees who have been there for years are no longer there, not sure as to why. They were extremely great, and knew their jobs very well!! I had an issue with my incision so I had a follow up with Blaine again. On my check out is where I encountered an issue. Older middle-aged aged lady with short gray hair and glasses was very rude and did not know how to explain in detail my bill to me. My balance shoudve been around 45 dollars yes I had more procedures done, and I knew my bill was gonna be higher this time around. She asked how much will I pay today I said nothing because they are deducting monthly payments from my checking account monthly. I asked her doesn't show on the computer she " replies yes last payment was made July 15th." I replied okay. Then, after I left the office I was really confused as to why my bill was over 500 bucks. I needed a detailed breakdown of my bill. I called the office for her to break down my bill. Her reply again was I told you it went towards the deductible Okay yes I know, but give me breakdown of fees charged for the procedure. She just gave me the billing number for me to call. She was rude on the phone with me. Was definitely not polite and talked to me as if I did not understand her. I have Bachelors degree in the health field I comprehend very well.
