Ho Wah Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

I went in last night (Saturday) about an hour and a half before closing. Was gone about thirty minutes before closing. Waitress was very very VERY rude to me and my fiance. She did not offer us tea, it came with the meal. I asked for some & was served a cup, no plate, and the rest of the tea in a metal pouring kettle type thing, with no plate & was made to feel like I did something wrong for requesting what came with my meal already. We were very rushed and as I am a server myself, I did not understand. She had over an hour for her closing duties and we were the ONLY table there. She offered to box my food, than threw boxes at us, than came by and put my food in the box (I was halfway through putting it away myself) and touched most of our food and yelled at us for how we put it in our to go boxes. The bill was $36.10 and since she was very rude the entire time, we gave her $42. Told her to keep it. She came by and told us we needed to give her the ten cents cus she didn't have it. I swear I was ready to grab the 42 and have her the exact change instead. I get it wasn't a huge tip, but we were made to feel so unwelcome there, I will never go back. It felt like racism because there was no call for it.

This is the next morning, the main reason I post actually, is because of how sick the food made us. I'm four months pregnant, and my fiance is a healthy 280 lbs. We are both taking turns at the bathroom today. There is no way is was anything but the food, since our bodies are so different I am very confused what made us have such bad stomach pains. Awful restaurant, I hope they get closed down. I will be calling the manager today, so there may be an edit later. But I doubt it....

This was the third time I have ordered from here and each time it just gets better and better.

I ordered #17 Sweet n Sour Chicken with fried rice and a egg roll. The food was warm and smelled awesome. The chicken was juicy and the breading and sauce just added to the floor. I especially like on the day after or I have even had two days after and it was suburb.

No dine-in as this writing as they are only carryout and delivering.

Wide variety of different Chinese dishes to choose from and highly recommend them all.

Have spoken with the daughter and the owner and they are very pleasant and joy to speak with. Very friendly and always accommodating.

Food is prepared to order and always ready in no time. I order on my lunch hour and my order is usually ready before I even get there.

They accept cash, credit cards, debit cards.

NO DINING IN ...just take out and delivery through various platforms

Closed Mondays and open at 11 am and close at 10pm.

This restaurant has been my go to Chinese food restaurant for the past 3 months, living in Warren I’d pass by multiple Chinese restaurants bc this one has good food. My hubby only eats the Pepper steak and rice, we order the exact same thing so we know how it’s suppose to be. Last Sat we ordered, and when i picked up our food my order was wrong. I explained what was wrong, expressed my concern and explained what we normally get. We were given attitude & the girl there kept cutting me off while trying to explain. We only wanted what we ordered and what we were paying for. We were given a boat load of white rice, a boat load of green peppers a few onions, maybe 5-6 strips of steak and a sprinkle of gravy sauce. When normally there’s lots of gravy sauce to eat with the rice, veggies and steak. The girl there didn’t want to assist me as she just kept taking the food to the back to move it around and bringing me the same food with smacking her lips and huffing...
