The Taco Stand Taqueria Sterling Heights — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

My husband and I tried the tortas and they were delicious. I got the ground beef (carne) and he got the pastor (pork) torta. They came out extremely quickly, within less than 10 minutes I'd say! Quality of food was very good and was served with chips and homemade salsa. :) added both sauces to my torta with the side of lime and caramelized onions.

The atmosphere was very clean and modern, which was one of the first things I noticed and is of course very important in a food establishment.

The young man who took my order was very polite, friendly, and patient as we made our decisions on what we were going to order.

Best place to go for authentic Mexican food! I had tried the Birmingham location before and ordered the Campechano, but it had a lot of black bits in it and wasn’t the best. Everything else was great though. I decided to give the Sterling Heights location a try and mentioned my experience they told me that wasn’t normal. I live in Pontiac so there’s no shortage of excellent Mexican food around me. This place has some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. I got 3 carne asada tacos on corn tortillas and let me tell you. They’re delicious. The meat is high quality, my tortilla didn’t fall apart, the cilantro and onions are fresh. My pregnant booty is happy as heck right now.
