The food was excellent! The portions for what we ordered were great as well, but I'm unsure we got all of our food. Everything we did get tasted fresh and delicious.
We did have a party, but we were paired with someone who obviously did not want to deal with us, which gave us poor service. It's one thing to be busy, which we understood, but to come over 25 minutes after we rang our bell twice and have an attitude immediately took us all by surprise. The server forgot my cousins meals completely and got frustrated when we asked about her food 3 times. Then my cousin didn't receive any side dishes so I gave her mine. We all ordered our own separate meals and were denied what we were to be paying for until we showed the server the menu. We barely ordered beverages and we only got water thanks to another employee. A couple people got a beverage order in.
I've done Korean BBQ a few times and I've noticed a trend, so I tried to warn my friend what to look out for... which we ended up going through, sadly. I had to stop my server from trying to DUMPPhoto included all of my food on to the BBQ all at once because I don't eat steak and I prefer to do chicken first by itself. Guess what didn't go first. 🙃 When I was grilling my onions I cut the heat down to half way and as I am tending to them out server comes over and cuts off the heat completely! As I'm COOKING! They constantly reached over my food bumping me as I was cooking which honestly was dangerous seeing as my hand was over a heated surface.
For anyone wondering, my BBQ was no where near burning and it did not have food burning on it. I cut the heat down a little bit before I even began cooking.
I'd be very cautious if I were to go back. The experience was disappointing at best, because the food was AMAZING! The meats were perfectly seasoned and tender.
Honestly the best KBBQ I've had in a while. The service was just not it. I still tipped $10 on my bill because I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having a long day? I'm unsure, but not wanting to help the people who were new, bumping me multiple times, being rude and unwelcoming, and putting my hand in danger were a bit too much for me.
The food was the 4 star rating but the service was a 1.
I bought my alcohol right before I left by purchasing separately and the other server was so kind and genuine! I highly appreciate their kindness, because I was surely going to be leaving on...
Read moreRecently came here for my birthday. This was my first Korean BBQ experience. I like trying new places for my birthday, so this was next on the list. The place is emerged in it's culture from the decor to the staff. We were seated right away and a server was prompt in greeting us and taking a drink order. She was kind of sassy but in a light- hearted way. We ordered one of the combination meals with a few different meats and such. The first round of food came out. Various small dishes of different vegetable type foods. My favorite was the apple and cucumber salad. It reminded me of a homemade chicken salad, minus the chicken. Other small dishes that i remember included, salad, with a spicy dressing, cucumbers, kimchi, and a seaweed type green (way too fishy tasting for me). The plate of meats came out right away and the server started putting the meat on the grill in the middle of the table. The meats were marbled wonderfully. We we're given rice and lettuce, for lettuce wraps, and 2 different sauces, garlic, and mushrooms. We were also given a boiling pot of eggs, which was pretty exciting to me and a great addition to the meal. Multiple servers came by through out the meal to rotate the meats. Everyone was pleasant and making sure we had everything we needed. This meal was certainly filling and we ended up taking a lot of the food home. I would say the combo meal we ordered could easily feed 4 people. The price was slightly above average, but considering the amount of food, it was a deal and if more people came with us, it would have turned out to be super reasonable. I would recommend anyone who has not yet tried this cuisine to give it a whirl. Overall the food was not overly complicated with simplistic, yet robust,...
Read moreWe’ve been there before for the Bi Bim Bop and it was good, but the service was a bit gruff. On this occasion the elderly woman who sat us seemed rather put out over our having inconvenienced her with our patronage. I asked for tea which never came. We ordered a bbq combo, but they didn’t bring bbq sauce and seemed irritated we asked for it. It’s supposed to come with rice, and they didn’t bring that until I asked—a very small portion at that. We were in the back, and there are no ventilation hoods over the grill tables so they opened the back door and let 35 degree air fill the room until, hearing other customers complain of the cold, I got up and closed the door myself. We got one glass of ice water and they never offered a refill. When the bill came I just wanted to pay and get out. But my credit card sat and sat until I finally got up and brought it up to the register. And even then I had to wait awhile for them to run it. I left $85 lighter for two dinners without alcohol (or any other beverage besides tap water), still a bit hungry. I’ve never felt my business was so unwanted by a...
