Despite the very bad experience with one of the employees (Kyle), that never happened to me in my life at a restaurant or anywhere else, I'd still give this place a better review and rating. I ordered a steak sub, Kyle was the one that helped me, he seemed on edge, he wasn't wearing a head cover or gloves and he had a big boil on his cheek! He didn't sound very friendly or nice, then I was called after 15 minutes to the check out, he sat the sandwich on a counter behind the counter for about 10 minutes, the lady that came after me took notice and told me you have been here before me and my son got his sandwich and you didn't! She was also waiting patiently for her sandwich. We both noticed that one of the ladies working back there was stressed out. Then after about 25 minutes in total wait time I got my sandwich and left, then I found out that it was the wrong kind of bread. I went back and talked to Kyle that kept calling me buddy all along. He said that this is what I ordered and he started to talk even ruder and then started calling me names. It turns it was someone else's order, not mine. I asked for the manager and I said to her "how could you allow someone like him deal with customers" She said "I didn't sir, it's not even my branch" He even wanted to get into a physical altercation with me, but luckily this manager walked in and tried to keep him away from me, he was intimidating and threatening me. The manager still kept him at bay, then asked him to leave, then he waited for me outside. The good Samaritan guy manager made me a new sandwich and even gave me a full refund. I asked him to escort me out or I'd need to call the cops, he did escort me out until he made sure I'm safe in my car. Kyle still followed me and stood right in front of my car, looked angry starring at me. I thank God this manager came in and intervened, otherwise God only knows what could have happened, someone could have gotten hurt! I get it how hard life is these days, and how even harder it is to find good workers. I'd feel sorry for Kyle if he lost his job, however it wasn't me that aggravated him, he was already on edge. The food though was nice, they can use a little less salt though. I'd go back to that place, however with that kind of threat over there, I don't think it would be...
Read moreI just got back from this location and the owner is a big prick! I am never ever the one to write bad reviews to anyone, it takes a lot for a place to upset me. I go there at least once every week or two but i promised myself i will never support someone like that ever again! Everytime i go there they give me free ranch with my order. Now the 35 cents wasn't what made me mad, but i curiously asked one of the employees when they started charging for ranch and the owner stepped in right away and was like we've been charging for ranch since day one. I smiled and said "not that it matters, but I come here quite often, you guys have never charged me for ranch." Now granted, they probably charged me because the owner was there. But what really did it for me was when the owner said "well I'm the owner and we always charge it here, we sometimes give it to clients who dine in here and there." I so badly wanted to tell him "so there is a difference in your net profit when someone dines in?" But i bit my tongue and didn't say anything to his comment. For him to say, yes i give them out but I won't do that for you was really dumb on his part truthfully speaking. Actually, mentioning that he was the owner and making that comment couldn't have played out any better for me! I never want to support an owner who makes it his mission to boost his ego to talk back like that to someone who is supporting his business. I asked the GM Nick - great guy - if my niece could have extra salami on her Italian and he without question slapped that salami down into the hot black rock surface with A SMILE. Kyle was singing when I came in. I genuinely thought he was a good asset to the sterling store as I frequent many establishments.
You can review a store off of one visit then you're doing this all wrong.
This crew is consistently cleaning cooking serving and moving. Not ONCE did I see anyone sit-down. No issues with the customers besides the way everyone treats everyone as family.customers managers employees- neighboring store employees choose this store for breaks because of the Atmosphere From the 3 times I've been in Nick Kyle & Rachel ran the show.
Best food around but I think nick needs a day off because he's always there. I think that's the only valid issue this store has seen since changing ownership.
Instead of acting off of anger and an egotistical standpoint please we as reviewers are the life blood to this business. We can not use our reviews to ruin minimum wage workers days.
