District 1 Brewing Company — Restaurant in Stevens Point

Whether it’s going out to try new food or listen to a local band, District 1 has it covered! They offer lots of free events and tasty brews and have an awesome array of games like assorted pinball machines, rubber ducky claw machines, pac man, pull tabs, etc and great live music! The staff are super welcoming and always quick to get you whatever you need! They have a whole area showing off the beautiful process of how they make their brews! Today my fiancé tried to the wonderful waters seltzer! It comes in two flavors but she got the mixed berries 10/10 and my buddy got the blue rad 10/10 both different from the other but amazing choices and they pair really well with there new pizza! Their new pizza oven is beautiful and gives off a great aroma of freshly made pizza! The cheese pull was insane on this meat lovers pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had, I’ve never had a pizza with similar proportions hold itself up as well as this pizza did! The texture, the flavor, and the overall ingredients used to make it were fresh and intricately made to my liking! Place was looking nice, walked up to the bar, no menus of the beers, need your phone to scan QR code which I didn't have my phone. They ONLY have their beers and that's it. No liquor or domestic beers either. So you pretty much are force to drink their beer only. And the beer was not that great at all. I had a few different ones as well. It reminded me of a hipster bar, they have bags inside, a pool table, pinball too and some balloons to hit around like you're a 5 year old kid, that was a lil ridiculous. The band playing was loud as could be, couldn't hear my friends talking at all, we all decided to head across the road to Papa Joe's and enjoy ourselves over...

I only tried "Penalty Bocks" bock this visit, but enjoyed it very much. The staff was pleasant and appropriately engaging. The clientele were happy but, in my opinion, fairly subdued. But then it was Saturday afternoon on a nice spring day in Wisconsin. Later Saturday night I'd bet it gets much more lively..

Edit - been back many times, fun place, great beer.

The space is clean, modern, and can be well lit. The brew equipment is fairly out in the open, and apparently all staff get to try their hand at brewing.
