We had an awful experience here during graduation weekend while celebrating with family. My son had heard they offered $1.99 margaritas and free cheese dip, so we decided to stop by for drinks. The sign outside clearly advertised both, but what followed was nothing short of deceptive.
As soon as we sat down, chips, salsa, and cheese dip were placed on the table—without us asking and before we even opened a menu. My son ordered two $1.99 margaritas, repeating the price three times just to be clear (he mentioned the place sometimes plays games with pricing). The rest of us ordered top-shelf margaritas. Drinks were okay, nothing special.
About 10 minutes later, the server asked if we’d be ordering food. We said we weren’t sure yet. She returned 5 minutes later to say that unless we ordered entrées, we’d be charged $5 PER PERSON for chips and salsa—a detail buried in fine print on the top corner of the menu we hadn’t even read yet. At that point, we felt cornered and ordered the cheapest nachos just to avoid a ridiculous upcharge. And for the record, their "nachos" are literally chips with the same free cheese dip poured over them and a bit of shredded cheese.
We raised this with both the server and the manager, calling out how unethical and predatory this is—especially in a college town where students may not feel empowered to push back. The manager dismissed our concerns and even answered a phone call while we were talking.
To top it all off, we were charged $3.99 each for the "discount" margaritas, even though the sign outside clearly said $1.99 (and my son had made that crystal clear when ordering). The cheese dip? Not free. The chips? Not free. Nothing matched the signage or our expectations.
This place thrives on bait-and-switch tactics and misleading fine print. We won’t be back, and I’ll warn others to stay far away from this place. College towns deserve better than businesses that prey on confusion and don’t stand behind their...

Read moreI am so glad this new Mexican place opened up. The decor seems to stay the same here no matter who opens up a new Mexican cuisine spot to eat so if you have been in another establishment that has operated from this location, it looks the same.
It was busy when I visited but we got a table quickly though. It took our server a couple minutes to get to us but I saw them working hard bouncing from table to table to help everyone they were responsible for serving. The service was good and the server was friendly.
The food was amazing!!!! This is quickly becoming a top place for me to go eat Mexican in Stillwater. They serve two types of salsa and queso with chips when you first sit down and as is usually with Mexican restaurants.... you can ask for spicier salsa and they deliver. The entrée's were delicious, filling, huge, and I took some home for a second meal. They have a great deal on margarita's all the time, so a wonderful place to eat and hang with friends. They even had more dessert options than I am used to seeing at Mexican...
