My husband and I came in to place a to-go order for our supper this evening, roughly at 6:50 pm on 02/24/25. The store had a couple curbside pickup customers in their spots, a single older couple in the dining room, and one or two cars in the drive-through when we arrived and my husband went inside. I sat outside in our car and waited, for 30 minutes, watching people who had come through the drive-through and into the store come and leave with their orders while we were still waiting. I walked inside to go ask my husband what was taking so long, as I watched another customer leave with an order containing WhataChick in it. From personal knowledge and experience, both my husband and myself are aware of the fact that WhataChick chicken strips take longer to fry than it takes to make a burger and fry some onion rings, which is what we ordered. The workers didn't seem to be really focusing on what they were supposed to be doing, even to the point of coming across sluggard and lazy. My husband requested the name of the manager on duty, which was stated to be Amber. All we know is, neither Glenn nor Sumner would have been captaining a ship that was performing in such a dysfunctional manner. When my husband asked the cashier who took our order where our food was or why the chicken was getting sent out before burgers were, the answer given was "I don't know," while turning around to walk away to go find out in a gait that was a fraction of how quickly my dead grandmother can walk. Meanwhile, more customers are coming in to the store and the drive-through line was to the street when we finally left 5 minutes later. In total, it took 35 minutes to get two burgers (one was a Jr burger) and 2 onion rings. That is ridiculous, no matter how...
Read moreOne of the few fast food places in town that never seems to disappoint. Doesn't matter what time of night or day or what you order its always fresh. As far as fast food goes this is place is a definite go-to. I personally have no issues waiting a few minutes for fresh food most of the time. When I'm in a rush though, I order through the app for pick up and skip the line and still get fresh food. The service is always friendly enough, I've not personally had a bad experience yet.
added on I just wanted to report my contentedness with their willingness to substitute things ordered through the app if they are unable to comply for any reason... As example, we ordered an avocado bacon burger and when we got there they informed me that they were out of avocado, however they easily subbed grilled mushrooms in place of it per request. They have also subbed pies for a shake before. I know some people may not be appeased by such modifications, but we are. This continues to be one of our favorite places for fast food, and especially for late night snacks and munchies. I still have yet to have a bad experience personally, I know others claim they have, I can't say that they were rude or anything as I was not there. I do know however that they have always been extremely accommodating to me, I have always been polite and not insulting, or confrontational. I don't know if that really matters, its just an observation. As they say, one catches more flies with honey than with vinegar. In other words, most of the time it pays to be polite and not verbally attack others. So far it has worked wonders...
Read moreDelicious burgers, great atmosphere, wonderful friendly staff, price is right, value is great, could use a cleaner bathroom - minus a star for that. Breakfast is also pretty good and they're never upset to make a special order.
This is a place for the old time Hamburger you miss tasting.
It's better than In&Out, better than Culver's, better than McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. It's not as good as Five Guys or Oklahoma's SnB Burger Joint (a must have for burger lovers). Dairy Queen used to be comparable, but DQ isn't what it was 20 years ago. It's better than Sonic and far superior to White Castle. It's not as good as Tucker's Onion Burgers.
Bonus: the shakes are dairy-free but still creamy for those of you missing a good old fashioned strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, or rotating flavor shake (right now is Dr. Pepper, before that Salted Caramel).
Whataburger is a corporate ran establishment so should taste fairly consistent throughout the country.
The salads are very filling and good, on the less healthy side are the fried lemon and apple pies. The Whatacatch is a fish sandwich, I personally love the flavor.
There's kids menu items, juice and a cookie (no toy) that comes with the meal. It's just an all around good old fashioned...
