never in our lives have we experienced such outright rude service!!!! if you don't want people to ask you to make them drinks because you're "just the bar back" then stay in the back and don't put yourself in the center of attention. there's a right way to explain things to people and the way she went about it was completely unprofessional, unexpected, and unwarranted. we have stayed at the Perry Hotel every single year for the last five years and this visit was the most disappointing as a result of this terrible experience. There were eight of us at the bar that night and we would have run up a very large tab, but thanks to her we all left and took our business elsewhere. they call it the "hospitality industry" for a reason, and this is definitely not the right line of work for someone with that kind of temperament and intolerance towards the public for absolutely no reason at all, worst part? the actual Bartender just stood by and allowed her to openly insult and disrespect his customers while sitting at his bar. what a terrible way to treat people that are on vacation trying to have a nice time while spending their hard earned money in your establishment. we tried speaking with the manager before we left and he was clueless, he wasn't even aware that there was a woman behind the bar and kept asking "which one" when there was only one. Unreceptive and unapologetic. What a shame because it's located in a really good spot with views of the water and is nicely decorated, unfortunately it takes more than that to deliver a good experience to your customers. I went here because it was highly recommended by locals online. Funny enough my partner, the taco junkie, was not very impressed. He felt that there were too many distracting elements in the egg tacos and that the beef tacos were much better. I, however, very much enjoyed these tacos and feel that they're the best on the island. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos and fish tacos (which I was pleasantly surprised to see the latter was fried and yet that's worked out quite well). I literally keep daydreaming about the fish tacos. What I loved was how each taco has it's own signature style; the chef was not merely swapping it meat and maintaining the same ingredients. The plating was superb and color was vibrant. Exquisite presentation. The taste itself was extraordinarily fresh and versatile. I just felt that there was too much sauce on top. Other than that, our least favorite aspect of the place was that it took forever to get our tacos. It was an awesome venue though; thought on the water and attached to a nice pool area. I don't know what corporation convinced you to have customers order food from an app that took 20 minute's to navigate just to order 3 margaritas and tacos! I was frustrated with the whole process and lack of customer service that was literally just standing around. this will never be the future. An automatic 18% gratuity is so wrong and taking advantage of your customers. (Now i know why they where standing around) We will never ever come back!
