Mile 0 Rentals — Local services in Stock Island

When renting a cart in key west, you should know this… It was nice to have it to ride around or to get to further places, but it’s difficult to find parking in some areas, therefore you still need to walk some places. This particular company made it very easy, dropping the cart at the airport for us and we drove it to our hotel. Upon drop off, the worker warned us that the belt kinda squeals a little and instructed us what to do “if” it got stuck and was squealing and wouldn’t go. That should have told us right there we would have issues with this cart! We thought it can’t be that bad; Well, it was. It was embarrassing driving around. They did give us a small credit towards the little bit of fuel we burned. I finally told them at the end of our trip that I wanted a credit because this was ridiculous and they offered on our last night to swap carts but at that point, it didn’t really matter. They said they wish I had told them sooner. In hindsight, I wish we would’ve, but at the same time since the guy that dropped it off forewarned us, I truly believe they knew it had issues and chose to give it to us anyways. Overall, the cart was comfy, had Bluetooth speaker and got us from point a to point b. It was clean and in good shape. BUT there are a ton of different companies that rent the carts, so just read reviews and look at pictures; but if you choose these and they tell you something like this upon drop off, refuse it. We saw all different kinds of carts on the island from basic to very high end. I’d say this premium was right...

This is the third time my wife and I have been to Key West. If you want to see the island, explore and not be overwhelmed with trying to drive a rental car through the busy streets, or the cost of Uber or taxi’s, then a golf cart is a perfect option. Scooters look fun but then you can’t take your friends or have snacks and drinks. Yeah you still gotta park them but trust me, you can find spots, even free ones, easier with a cart.

Mike 0 Rentals made getting a golf cart so easy. I called and spoke to Lori who took my booking over the phone. They delivered the cart to my hotel where Charles walked me through all the ins and outs and do’s and don’ts. When I was done and before I headed home, I parked it at the hotel, locked it up and Mile 0 picked it up. SO EASY!

Only thing preventing this from being a 5 star review was the mechanical condition of the cart. The brakes were a little weak and the motor seemed a little tired. However, our experience was great. The radio and speakers, The LEDs, and the seats were all in great condition. The cart looked nice as well. I know the knobby tires look cool on these carts but since they are driven on the road it would be cool if they put a quieter road tire on them.

Mile 0 Rentals is absolutely wonderful. The owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were desperately searching for a golf cart rental for our last day in Key West. I was having trouble walking since I was still recovering from back surgery. We got lucky: Mile 0 had just posted a premium golf cart as available, right when I found their page. It wasn’t technically supposed to be available for another 2 hours, but due to a glitch, I was able to book it for immediate pickup. I was dialing them to let them know we were on our way, when my phone rang and it was Mile 0 Rentals, apologizing that it wasn’t ready right away but they would meet us there. Their prices were very competitive with the other rental places—better than most of the one we checked. The golf cart was very nice. Comfortable and with lots of features like a cooler, sound bar, and neon running lights. Please give them a try when you’re in need. You won’t be disappointed. Look for the banner sign on the white fence. We highly recommend Mile 0 rentals and will definitely use them for all our trips...
