C C O'Brien's Sports Cafe — Restaurant in Stonington

This place is a dump. I came here with a friend and our children b/c we figured it was family friendly for a burger @ lunch. We sat by the pool tables so our 4 and 6 year olds could play. The boys were having a great time playing pass on the pool table with the white ball for 15 mins without issue or injury. The owner came up to my 4 year old son and snatched the white pool ball out of his hand without even acknowledging me or the other mother. She then took it upon herself to discipline our children who have done nothing wrong, without even acknowledging us, the parents, sitting right there next to them! We tried to let a waitress know what had happened and that we were appalled with the behavior of this nasty old woman... she said, "Sorry there's nothing I can do that's the owner." Instead of the owner acknowledging that she had done something wrong and should never have even approached our young children without addressing the parents first, she grabbed her stuff and walked out the door without even an apology. We paid for our drinks and left and decided that we are not paying our hard-earned money to go to an establishment that is so poorly run. Worst customer service ever. When you first walk in it smells like moldy rug and the staff is all in front of the door tables having food and and staring at you . Our waitress was awesome and that was the only great thing about this place. No music , or tvs on they have 15tvs and no sound in thst place but loud employees . The food is so disappointing! I had fish and chips and it's FROZEN FISH ! You are located in westerly and have FROZEN FISH! Then my daughter had the Ruben and it was deli cornbeef that was very chewy and soggy bread because of the amountof dressing ! Irish pub that don't do their own cornbeef? This place has gone downhill in the last few years. This was always a go-to, friendly staff good food.... I've visited a few times, and every time I remember why I hadn't been coming, the staff hasn't been friendly in years, bartenders have verbalized being annoyed they had customerscause they could close making you feel as if hurry tf up and get out!
