This review is less about Bellacino's as restaurant and more about their partnered services with trivia nights.
My friends and I called Bellacino's the week before a Wednesday "themed trivia" night and asked what we needed to do to participate, what time it was, etc. The representative told us that it was at 6pm and that we just needed to show up.
Wednesday arrived and we went to Bellacino's to participate in the themed trivia. When we get there, we are told that the Wednesday night "themed trivias" required payment and reservations to participate. Obviously, we were upset so we asked if we could still play and/or pay to participate. They told us no.
We were quite confused as we stayed for the remainder of the evening. Why would a company not want MORE money? What was the downside to having ADDITIONAL players? And if all of the spots were full, why was the trivia night still being advertised on the GIANT sign outside of the restaurant?
We also noticed at least two other parties who informed the staff that they also called in to check the rules and were told they could just show up the night of. It was honestly just frustrating, especially since Bellacino's has become pretty well-known for their trivia nights.
In terms of the actual trivia company? Every single question that was read off was taken directly from an online article of the aforementioned themed trivia. Every single question, word for word - in a trivia game that people PAYED to play in was taken from another website that was easily Google-able.
Honestly, it was just disappointing and unfortunately, we'll need to find somewhere else to participate in trivia. Good...
Read moreMy daughter loves going here so we do go often. But the grinders are always terrible. Like. They always come out lukewarm as if they were made in the morning and warmed up later. The chicken Parm was so gross I couldn't even eat it after taking it home and warming it up. The pizza grinder I got the other day was hot on one side and cold in the middle. It definitely did not look or taste fresh.
If you go here, get a pizza, because you can tell they're cooked fresh. I also like how the dine-in setup is. Super easy and convenient. Order at the counter, get your drink at the fountain, pick your seat and they bring the food to you. And then when you're done you get your own box and don't have to wait to pay because you paid and tipped when you got there.
I'd give it a higher rating, but the food outside of pizza has just been so disappointing to me. We go at least once a month to sit down, but I think I'm done experimenting with what I order. Pizza it is from now on.
Oh, and kids eat free on Sundays if an adult orders a meal, but I've not been given the discount twice so far, and feel weird asking for them about it. The first time I didn't notice, the second time they were super busy and I didn't feel like waiting in line to get it fixed. Anyways no big deal. Just wish the other stuff was as good...
Read moreI decided to give Bellacino's a try a few days ago. I had their pizza many years ago when a friend worked for them but never actually went there myself. Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant is pretty clean. Nothing had that weird greasy film on it like some pizza places do. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They are definitely kid friendly. Now on to the food. We ordered the Friday special. The pizza was good. Not greasy at all. The sauce was a little heavy but had good flavor. It is slightly sweet with light garlic and basil taste. Pepperoni and cheese were pretty standard. The Italian grinder was fantastic. Good amount of meat and toppings. The house made bread was delicious. Only improvement would be to add some vinegar. The cheesy garlic bread was also fantastic. Very flavorful and soft on the bottom. Many places make theirs too crispy but this was perfect. My 1 year old loved it. Overall, we'll worth going. There arent a ton of eat-in pizza shops these days and this is pretty close to top notch. We will be...
