Main Moon — Restaurant in Stow

Main Moon has always been more of a take out place than an eat-in restaurant. So the decor isn't really that important. I loved their food. When I moved to other areas around Ohio I always made the long drive to get Chinese from them, but recently the quality has gone way down hill. It started with the sesame chicken. It became more breading than chicken and always had a fishy smell/taste. I stopped ordering that and stuck to my favorite: chicken with broccoli. Then that too declined. First they changed the sauce. It became a thick goopy sauce instead of the thin flavorful broth it was before. Willing to accept the sauce change, I continued to be a patron, but then the meat changed, too. The chicken in the chicken and broccoli used to be edible, thinly shaved pieces of white meat chicken. Now it's is so thick and tough it turns my stomach to even think about it. I found my last take-out order from them to be completely unappetizing. I'm sad to say it, but I think there's been a change in the kitchen or they're implementing cost saving measures, because this is not the same Chinese I came to love and adore. Disappointing and not the same. For years we used to always eat here when we were hungry for Chinese food. We wouldn't even consider anywhere else for many many years. I totally agree with the other reviews stating that the chicken is NOT the same! The chicken and brocolli used to be great as others have stated but something is different. It's doughy and chewy and the flavor is not the same. My wife has even gone so far to as question whether or not it's even chicken anymore! The egg rolls which used to be very good and tasty are different as well and the sweet and sour chicken was ok at best too. It's not what it used to be. NO idea what has happened with this place but we are done giving this place our business. There is a MUCH better Chinese carry out place now in town that I would highly recommend...

We used to order from Main Moon and stopped because all the dishes tasted like fish. We thought we would try again today. That was a mistake. I ordered chicken and mushroom combination. Tasted fishy and was sitting in too much sauce. They must use the same pan to cook everything in because why would my food taste like fish? My husband ordered general tso's chicken combination
