I am clearly a moron for thinking it should take less than five minutes to pour ice cream from a machine whose entire purpose is to dispense ice cream. Because it it took less than five minutes to do such a task, then the highly skilled ice cream technicians at this place would be able to it. But why would I expect speedy service from a company that only has two questions on the application? With those two questions being, is The Fast and The Furious the best movie franchise? And, are you a slack jawed mouth breather? But it isn't fair to judge a restaurant solely on corporate policies of slow ice cream pouring and questionable hiring practices, the staff and their customer service is also a key variable. The females have a personality reminiscent of someone using a pine cone tampon while the males come off as the type that have to drop their pants to their ankles when using a urinal. I am harsh on my critique of the males because one time when I felt like I needed some ice cream, but only after waiting in my car 29 minutes for it, I went to this establishment. The young gentleman at the window politely conversed with me and then took my card. He then looks at the name on the card and audibly mumbles, "Derek's brother." Then hands me the card and says to me, "oh yeah I had spaghetti at your house on Tuesday."...Except for the fact I do not have a brother named Derek, we never have spaghetti on Tuesdays because are very strict adherents of Taco Tuesdays, and identifying someone from their credit card is absolutely bonkers. The food tastes good, prices are fair, and this place is incredibly helpful to the...
Read moreBy far the worst fast food experience of my life. I went to pick up dinner for my family to support the fundraiser for After Prom in Stow. What I was first not told was that this required coming into the restaurant and not drive-thru, which is not DQ's fault, but this was the beginning. So after sitting in that line I had to park and go in. Upon entering the store the place looked like it was on fire. The entire inside was filled with smoke from whatever had been burned. I went to cashier and ordered my food. Was told "it may be a few minutes because they are a little behind." 40 minutes later I was still standing there waiting for my order. To say these poor kids working there had been put in a horrible situation is an understatement. They were in no way prepared for the increased traffic and apparently they did not have enough staff to cover, especially the grill where they only 2 cooks of the about 8 people working, and we were told one of the cooks "disappeared." We also learned as standing there that none of the employees had been told about this fundraiser. So this was clearly, a management/ownership failure. I eventually just got a refund for my order and left. All in all was there over an hour, and left with no food.
I will say this, the teenagers working there did their absolute best to deal with a horrible situation and I give them a ton of credit for holding it together as best as they did. They were never rude and did their best to accommodate everyone in an...
Read moreToday, when purchasing a cake for a friend’s anniversary, I asked for them to write a simple anniversary phrase. The cake was originally given back to me with terribly sloppy writing and misspelling. I brought the cake back in and asked for it to be fixed and they scraped the writing off (ruining the frosting underneath) and rewrote it, still misspelled. I ended up having to take the cake to the Portage Trail Location where they provided me a whole new cake and wrote on it beautifully. I will not be returning for any future cakes at this location. (First picture is Stow, second picture is the beautiful cake from...
