I’m leaving this review for Jacob. I was shopping tonight. It had been a long day with me and my baby shes six month old Everybody beeps for different reasons when they walk in and out of that store I know I have a coach bag and that could be because they have something inside the material and I’ve beat them other places with this back I beeped when I went in the store I even also took something in the store. I had two items that I was returning I was gonna return, the jacket and get a different size but I didn’t want to gift card and I didn’t have a receipt for it because my sister had got it for me and it we always shop at the store, so she never had the buzzard taken off of it. I just returned a comforter set. I was just at the front desk customer service if I was stealing, I would’ve never stopped at the door as I’m walking out, I beep there’s a light skin girl with glasses. I told her I said I don’t know why I’m beeping. She comes over and immediately starts asking me did you purchase anything? I said it could be the clothes cause I wasn’t sure cause I wasn’t paying attention. She immediately has my receipt in her hand and she’s looking at my bags which that is not her job to do. Her job is not to look in my bags or even stop me at the door but she did she persist to go over to where you take the buzzard off and looks at my receipt and immediately says this isn’t on the receipt. OK I’m not a Fee if that’s what you’re thinking you didn’t ask me all that I’m tired. I’ve had a long day of my baby at the doctors. With her ear infection on top of working all day so immediately grabbed the jacket takes my buzzard off and I think temper that because sometimes people just don’t wanna deal with that it’s been a long day nobody’s gonna steal a $30 Columbia jacket seriously but shot out to Jacob for making my night a little easier we need more employees on the floor and stores I had already paid for everything that was in my buggy Everything was in bags had a buzzard on it one thing. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ that’s why people don’t like shopping at stores anymore. That makes people feel uncomfortable then you got a lot of harassment going on people following me around the stores that was unacceptable from that employee because truth be told she had no right because she didn’t know anything or my situation and then she asked Jacob. What did he want her to do? What do you mean, what is there to do? I was going to get a different size jacket. I just decided not to buzzards all the time, but not meaning to. It’s not on purpose. I hope that employee that stopped me and wanted to take time out of her night to see if I was stealing polishes up You don’t treat customers that way you don’t. I stop smelly at the door for a reason after I stopped she should’ve took one good. Look at my receipt and said go ahead, ma’am. but she did not thank you for not making my night, so so bad and understanding and making it simple. You’re good at your job. I seen you at the front desk at customer service helping a couple with a double charge on the credit card. I needed assistance in the garden area, but there wasn’t a single employee to be found inside. I stepped outside, only to see what looked like an abandoned section—no products displayed, and the only employee out there was sitting on his phone, completely disengaged.
When I went to use the ladies’ restroom, the stall I walked into was absolutely disgusting. Someone had clearly been extremely disrespectful, and it was obvious the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a while.
I walked over to Customer Service to report the issues and stood there for 10 minutes while two employees chatted with each other. Even after they were done talking, the employee behind the counter—who was actually on duty—didn’t even acknowledge me. The off-duty employee standing nearby gave me a look like, “Wow, she’s not even going to help you?” which summed it up perfectly.
I asked to speak with a supervisor, but there wasn’t one available—just a service coordinator. I reported the employee outside (Xavier W.) sitting on his phone, and the condition of the restroom. He didn’t seem the least bit concerned and just continued with whatever he was doing, as if none of it mattered.
When prices are this high and customer service is this poor, there’s absolutely no reason to continue shopping here. This store needs a serious reset in both accountability and standards.

Read moreFirst and foremost, your customer service counter is junk. Condescending young ladies who get upset that they actually have to do their jobs. Gave me total attitude instantly. Also, the register woman (older lady, right by customer service counter) had the same attitude. The other employees around the store all seemed very nice, so I'll give them that. And having the local high school football players as the baggers was well thought out.
But what's most concerning is when I was walking out the store. I approached some corporate employees and told them their service counter is rude and unprofessional...they turned their backs and laughed at me and my fiancee. They herd me and saw me, but yet did NOTHING to improve the situation (I am not kidding, they literally turned their backs to us and laughed). So in my eyes, they are no different or better than Acme. I'm willing to give some benefit of the doubt because they literally just opened (I will go back in month and hopefully improve the review). But for now, if it wasn't for the fact the store looks nice and food prices are fair, you would have zero stars (electronics/kitchenware/clothes/outdoor sections are way overpriced).
Grocery stores should pride themselves on great customer service. That is why Acme is failing miserably. So to you management of Stow Meijers, retrain your customer service and cashiers.
