Vazzys on Main St. in Stratford CT has the same name and logo as other Vazzys. However, this Vazzys is far superior when it comes to poor ownership. Dealing with a bad waiter, waitress or manager is one thing. This restaurant's flaws start at the very top. Imagine that you look up the closet McDonald's and order a Big Mac. When you ask for the Big Mac they say nothing but ok please give us 25 minutes and you can pick up. You go to get your Big Mac and they say that will be $65.00. When you react with shock from the price the cashier says well the thing is we don't make Big Macs here. Then you say well they didn't tell me that on the phone. They simply said yes pick up in 25 minutes. Turns out they had a McDonals Logo but they were actually a Burger King. So the staff uses Kobe beef, vine rip tomatoes homemade thousand island dressing to create a Burger King Big Mac. Instead of just saying hey we don't do that here sorry. Another option would be to say oh yea we know what a Big Mac is, we could make it but it will cost you $65. That's a little example of what happened the very last time I will order from Vazzys. The real story involved a simple order of a Salt Water Pizza. Seeing the same logo online I called Vazzys in Stratford for a Salt Water Pizza. They did not skip a beat in saying I could pick up a salt water pizza that sells for $27 at Vazzys in Bridgeport. I felt bad at first because I would never not pay for something. Then I'm home eating this soggy $65 pizza thinking to myself this isn't right! So I call and speak to the arrogant owner of Vazzys in Stratford for half apologizes. He accepts no responsibility for taking an order for something they don't sell even knowing who does sell it. They knew what was on that pie from another companies menu, copied it, and at my expense charged me market price for it. He then text messaged me condescending messages. My final thought is if you are going to take an order for an item that is on another restaurants menu. If you are going to copy their marketing and ingredients then either copy their price for it as well or inform the call that you can not do it. $65...

My family and I went to eat at this location and a roach was on the serving pizza tray. We call the waiter and he saw it and apologized took the pizza, came back and said the owner apologize and my husband said have the owner come out so he can speak to him. The waiter is embarrassed and the owner keeps sending him to do the talking. Finally The owner comes out and apologizes because he saw it. I don’t know what he was thinking. He said it could be far more worse. My husband says you need to get this place cleaned. The owner says that his place is clean that he can show us , he said that sometimes roaches come in the pizza boxes when he buys them and it must have crawled to pizza serving tray. At this point we’re all disgusted. Conversation got out of control he was screaming at us, saying to get out of his restaurant and my stepdaughter said there was a roach on our pizza plate and you saw it. He called her a B————and that we’re doing all of this because we don’t want to pay for the food. My husband said we’re business owners here in Stratford not only do we buy pizza from here but we have ordered pizza for the Stratford Police and Stratford Fire and you think we’re doing all of this not to pay for food, like we don’t have money to pay, is how you handled it!! Never again. We’ll take our business...

We went in for dinner for my nieces birthday and my nephew leaving to be deployed over to Africa waited for almost 2 1/2 hours for our food to come after surrounding tables were served before us and they came after us our food came disgusting my nephews pasta was ice cold, he stuck his fork into the ziti and a whole clump came up at once his hot grill sandwich was ice cold they brought it back to the kitchen and apparently they stuck it in a microwave my daughter had ordered pasta with grilled chicken they forgot the chicken when she reminded them they went in the kitchen came out with her cutlet it was totally raw. My nephew ordered a New York strip steak and ask for it to be medium well and it came out totally raw and bleeding when he pushed his fork down on it blood literally ran out on his plate. We asked for the manager or owner and was told the owner was making deliveries. They called the police because we were disputing the service and bill, the owner finally showed up and was rude but finally agreed to remove the raw and cold meals, never in my life have I gone to a restaurant where half of the orders at my table had serious issues with them.
