Where to start? Sadly, our server was JD, and it was all downhill from there. We ordered the BBQ wings as an app and asked for them to be cooked extra crispy-they came out with soft skin and definitely not crispy. That was when we got our first 'sorry' from JD. Then we asked for our margarita with a salted rim-after the rest of our party had already gotten their drinks, the bartender came out to ask if we wanted salt or sugar on the rim of the margarita...waited again and got another 'sorry' from JD. Entrees: Cod was RAW and inedible-sent back for a flatbread, which came out burnt at one end and couldn't be eaten. Pork chop was 'borderline' cooked and completely RAW 3/4 of the way through;my friend couldn't even eat it all because of that. Got another 'sorry' from JD. Medium-well burger came out red and oozing blood-replacement burger surprisingly came out cooked as requested and tasted pretty good. We actually suggested JD write down our orders/requests, but he continued to screw up and just kept apologizing. The manager came out a few times and apologized too, then offered us free desserts for our aggravation. JD brings out 3 spoons for the 4 of us. When asked for an additional spoon, he brought us one that was filthy. After yet another 'sorry', we actually were wondering if he was trying to send us a message. Onto desserts-the apple crisp came out in a cold cast-iron pan...guess JD didn't bother to actually 'cook' the apples and scant topping of oatmeal first, just brought out the pan right from the refrigerator. Nobody ate that. The brownie sundae had a hollow curl' of ice cream on top, as if he couldn't be bothered to give us a full scoop of ice cream (and 'hot' fudge was definitely not even warm). Throughout the course of the night, we asked and waited for another beer, a glass of ice, and water. JD had to be reminded every time. The only time JD came back to our table in a timely manner was when it was time to pay the bill. We asked to speak to the manager at that time, but the manager wouldn't even come out...not until we left and headed to our cars. We saw the manager run to our table to make sure we had paid the bill. Seriously? You didn't have the decency to come out and speak to us when requested, but thought we'd stiff you on the bill? P.S. We noticed the manager apologizing to other tables while we were there too. Don't believe the other positive reviews-they're probably posted by staff members, and don't be fooled by the pretty pics of the outdoor seating. This place is a complete NIGHTMARE! Save your money and go ANYWHERE...
Read moreMy first time visiting the 110 Grill was a good experience. The atmosphere and decor was comfortable and welcoming. We sat near the kitchen in tall booths. The table heights themselves were bit awkward and well above comfortable elbow resting position. At least you didn't have far to go from the plate to your mouth. LOL Sitting by the open concept kitchen what's enjoyable and provided some entertainment and conversation topics. Our waitress was courteous and attentive. My wife and I enjoyed two different salads, mine being a Caesar and her more traditional. Both salad dressings, mine being Caesar and hers being a raspberry vinaigrette, could have had a little more Zing to them but overall the salad and presentation were great. My wife had the fish tacos which she absolutely loved and I, as always, tried my favorite: the pulled pork sandwich. I always comment about the pulled pork sandwiches because I try one wherever I Go. The pulled pork sandwich at the 110 Grill has a wonderful mixture of texture and flavor in it. The crispy onion strips, the fried pickles, and coleslaw had a perfect ratio of crunchiness and texture when combined with the flavorful pretzel bun and the pulled pork. The pulled pork had good texture although could have used a little more flavor itself. In a pulled pork sandwich you want the pulled pork to be the main part of the sandwich and everything else to compliment it. In this case it was the opposite. Pricing was reasonable. The presentation of our plates and others we saw coming out of the kitchen give the ambience of being a high-end restaurant without the high-end price tag. If there's one thing I would comment to improve it would be to have one person running the hostess station. We were told about 15 minute wait (very reasonable on a Sat night) and they would come and get us when the table is ready. After about a 15-minute wait we came inside to find the person who gave us this information now bringing dinners to tables and someone else who didn't seem to know there were names on the list of people waiting. She seated a couple who just walked in. We gave her our name and upon realizing that we had been waiting she seated us almost immediately. Everyone is short-handed these days but this is an issue that needs to be addressed. There should be a clear communication if the hostess position is changed. We did not wait long and the issue was resolved immediately so this would not be a major complaint on my part. Overall our dining experience was good and I would suggest this...
Read moreI was in the Restaurant Business most of my life. I never write reviews. I was told several times to try The 110 Grill. It was very busy. There were however several seats at the Bar. The hostess encouraged US that we could get served quicker there. So, We agreed to sit there. There were 3 Bartenders. One looked like he was getting ready to leave. We were not even acknowledged and walked by several times. We asked if it was possible to get a drink. We finally had a drink to sip. But, he quickly walked away. We had wanted a menu. Then we waited another 15 minutes trying to get someone to please give US a menu. It was probably an hour before we finally flagged someone down to order. We were frustrated at that point. We decided to split a sandwich and have chicken tenders. We ordered them. We had asked how the French fries were. They said great. So we ordered those. During this time the Bar was filling. We watched people come in an hour after US and get served meals that took much more time to cook than ours. Every time the people got served, we looked at each other and said what is going on? We were very upset at that point. We asked why our food was not ready yet? They said they would check. We eventually got our food. The French fries were stone cold. There was never an apology. Not once did they ask US how things were? We were just ignored still. We could not get anyone's attention. We just looked at each other and said, " WE ARE OUT OF HERE!". We then had to ask for our bill. I always tip. I still tipped but not a good tip that I would usually give. Our experience was terrible. Ironically, the next day my friend called and told me we should try The 110 Grill. My response was not good. She said try another location. I gave two stars for impressive looking atmosphere and the cleanliness of the atmosphere. We went out because we didn't feel like cooking. We would have been better off staying in. I also managed a restaurant and I was a bartender, and waitress. I know there are not perfect nights. But, when you have Customers, It is important to smile and first of all welcome them. Also to check on them now and then. They are your customers. Trust me, they will return even if something did not go okay. Just acknowledge them. AND, say ...Sorry we messed up. I felt it was important...
