EDIT I am adding two stars to my original 2 star review.
I am happy with resolve of management to hear my concern and I was refunded my money. I would like to commend management for taking this criticism as an opportunity to grow. On any other day, Moes is a family favorite. We will be back. While I am giving the benefit of the holiday hoopla of Cinco de Mayo, I am so disappointed with my recent experience. I ordered my dinner early in the day to assure my family dinner would be served. My picky eater is obsessed with Moes queso so no arguments over dinner. The curbside pickup was an absolute disaster and completely unorganized. I was asked by three separate employees what my name was and was added to “the list” three separate times. I also had to exit my car on two occasions as to ensure I wasnt forgotten. I realized that where I was parked was not getting any attention. I was able to pull literally in front of the table that was set up on the side walk. Another employee approached my vehicle and took my name. This employee wasn’t adhering to guidelines and kept pulling his face mask down to talk to me. He complained about his coworkers and their lack of organizational skills. I am at this point sitting and waiting for my food 45 minutes. After this young mans rant about his coworkers, anoooother employee approached my vehicle carrying my bags of food yelling my name. Ok, awesome food is here. Now on a normal experience I would have asked them to wait while I check my order. I was so over it by this point I decided not to do this against my better judgment. I live a half hours drive away and so when I got home my family was hungry and annoyed with me over how late I was. Yes, I get it, Cinco de Mayo at a Mexican restaurant is going to take a while. That is why I ordered my food earlier in the day so it would be ready for me to pick up. We ordered the Family pack which should have included chips, taco shells, lettuce, salsa, shredded cheese, queso, rice, beans, and your choice of protein. We chose chicken. What I got was two containers of rice, two containers of beans, two containers of spicy chicken, two containers of white chicken, a container of steak, chips and taco shells. THAT IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED. I did try to call just to inform them my order was wrong, but clearly calling on one of their busiest times of year’s was not the appropriate time. So being disappointed was an understatement. I’ve managed a team before myself and what I’m going to assume happened is that the lack of organization behind the counter resulted in my order getting double the proteins and none of the toppings, and someone else out there getting double the toppings and none of their proteins. This was a waste of $42...

But I am severely disappointed in my experience today, to the point I felt compelled to write a review. We are in the midst of a pandemic. And maybe there are some that don’t feel there is a need to take major precautions, but at the very least following the basic Covid-19 protocols should be manageable right? Not for the staff or manager there today at 6pm. Three men in a group of around 6 walked into the Moe’s by 9th street in Stroudsburg,PA and we’re not wearing a mask. Two of which DIDNT EVEN HAVE ONE. They walked in right as I pulled into the lot so I saw them as they looked at the bright orange sign that reads “ALL EMPLOYEES AND GUESTS MUST WEAR MASKS” hesitated and then walked in away. As my wife and I walked in, we were shocked that they were not refused service. These young men were not only talking to order (obviously) but we’re leaning over the glass..meaning over the food in which others will be exposed to.
I felt it inappropriate for me to direct my disgust with the individuals because frankly it’s not my place to police guests in the establishment. It’s the staff.
No one did.
When coming to the counter, I asked for the manager. When brought over his first response was to explain he “was so busy” and didn’t see it. When I pointed out one who was waiting to pay and the two who just walked out, he turned to me and exact words said:
“Oh I don’t know what you want me to do”
Really? REALLY?
When I pushed further to the fact that none of his staff did anything about it, and that people have to eat this food the only solution was for him to catch an attitude with me and yell for his team to wash their hands. Not only did they all follow suit and decide to have an attitude because... well being sanitary is a nuisance... but I guess because... well I guess because following health orders and protecting your business is also a nuisance.
I get this is a Franchise operation so I hope the owner sees this. I hope the owner holds himself to a...
