I ordered a keto bowl, a build your own burrito, with chips and queso. The burrito was the best of the three. I got ground beef with pinto beans, fresh jalapenos, guacamole etc. No real complaints. However, the keto bowl was one of the worst food orders we've ever had. We got the shrimp and added steak. The price of the bowl was $18. There was three pieces of shrimp and maybe a tablespoon and a half to two tablespoons of meat. We also got pico de gallo and the house salsa which made the bowl really wet. That's on me. However, the amount of meat, the size of the bowl, and the other options in the bowl just made this a complete rip off. The chips and queso were good until we got halfway down into the bag of chips and there was so much salt on the chips that we had to pour salt off them. It was piled up and made the rest of the bag of chips in edible. I've called the supervisor and he has told me that he will refund the order which I think is great. I think this restaurant really needs to take a look at the value of those bowls, do better with something as simple as chips, and that's my opinion, but the quality and value of the food isn't really an opinion. It's just a fact. The bowls are insanely overpriced, and pay $9 for a bag of over salty chips and a rather small large case of especially compared to Moe's makes this somewhere. I will not be returning to eat. And unfortunately, I signed up for text notifications to receive $5 off on my next online order, and did not receive the $5. This was just a very poor food experience. I will say that the staff was courteous, but the restaurant wasn't busy at all when I picked up my order and I just feel like it could have been so much better. Just a shame. Just wanted some good food. Stuff is too darn expensive to not get...
Read moreSo the main reason for the 3 stars is for the employees they were nice and friendly. However the queso skip it! I’m so glad we go the free one from rewards when we signed up because I’d be pissed spending $6 for a 4oz cup that wasn’t full all the way and was water with hints of chopped jalapeños… my partner got the general tos tacos and absolutely loved them so much meat it was falling out. However I got the bowl and was beyond disappointed in size for the price, I rather just go down the street to moe monday. I’ve never been charged for grilled onions there (the “fajita” topping Bubbakoo’s offers) and the bowl and steak given is two times the size for the same price and the steak actually has flavor. The bowl i got here the steak had no seasoning (not even salt or pepper) and they didn’t offer a sauce I cared to try (the garlic parm wasn’t showing as an option or I missed it). My partner loves this place for the breaded chicken so I took her back the next day (of course I skipped) and before ordering asked if the tacos and quesadilla came with the same amount of meat and the guy told me yes, maybe the first day the girl did extra without knowing it but it was not the same as the first time on top of that she ordered as a combo with cheese fries and they gave the smallest cup of cheese I ever saw. The only thing I personally will be getting from here when my partner wants it is the love chips. Again the employees were great but the company it self should look into some of their recipes and pricing for the amount they are giving compared to others near by (I get inflation but you’d be pushed away too if you got the...
Read moreAfter being excited to try here for awhile, this was nothing short of a major disappointment for a Saturday night dinner.
We ordered carnitas nachos , a carnitas burrito , and a side of guacamole.
I'll start with the biggest disappointment. The guacamole is NOT made fresh. It is "dressed up" pre-made guac. It's gross. You can't dress up that flavor. It's so overloaded with citric acid, jalapeno extract (preservatives), and salt it gives it away. Adding a little cilantro and red onion pieces doesn't change that.
Carnitas nachos : We live less than two miles away , so to say it was a time thing isn't possible. If you receive a to-go order for nachos and you know it's moisture heavy - it makes sense to put the chips on the side. Every chip was soaked through and soggy. The carnitas meat was also so salty the entire dish was inedible.
Carnitas burrito: Same issue with the meat. Very. Salty. The burritos are huge , I'll give you that. But they are predominantly filled with RICE. It's a rice burrito with some toppings. I would rather of had a smaller burrito with correct proportions than a rice filled brick, regardless of the salty meat issue.
Come on, guys. This is embarrassing. Taste your food. Think of your customers as if you were the ones receiving the food. And for the love of God, if you're going to charge fresh guac prices -...
