Fun and kitschy atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Menu has a very diverse selections, not just hot dogs, chili dogs, corn dogs and other variations on hot dogs. They have a wide selection of Seafood selections also including both fish and shellfish. On Thursdays they have a Lobster Dinner (market price), last night it was $17.95, the server said it is usually about $19.95. You have to come in early because they run out typically by 7pm.
This was our first visit. Food was fresh and delicious, service was great with everyone who walked by picking up dishes you are done with. I started with a cup of clam chowder which it's appearance is deceiving, it's flavor is incredible. Definately one of the best clam chowders I have ever had. I had the footlong chili cheese dog for dinner along with waffle fries. The fries were very hot, crispy and delicious. The chili cheese dog was all beef dog with meaty chili and and a cheddar blend grated over the top. Both the dog and chili cheese was delicious.
My wife had the fish and chips which came with two very large, very well breaded filets. Fresh with perfectly golden brown finish, not greasy and tasted good. It also came with fresh Cole slaw which had a good flavor and waffle fries.
We definately will be back, try to get a lobster dinner on a Thursday night. We definately reccomend...
Read moreI'm a big fan of the Southwest Dog, get them most times I come in. I'd actually like a little more kick in the chili but it is otherwise a great chili-cheese dog which I'm a huge fan of.
But my real issue with this place is the ribs. They have an all-you-can-eat rib night which I haven't been to because I can't eat that much, but I've gotten the rib dinner as well as the half-rack rib appetizer about ten times now. I'm craving one now actually. These are baby back ribs, a bit smaller than spare ribs, but always come out perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flame-touched crust. You gently pull away the bones and get these super-tender, giant, fat fingers of succulent, unctuous rib meat. They come out with a caramelized basting of a nice, tangy sauce; I ask for a little cup of said sauce to dip my fat rib fingers into but it isn't necessary - I'm just a sauce guy and theirs is pretty good. Its the kind of thing that is so delicious you have to imagine royalty somewhere is eating the same thing.
I've had good wings here too but def recommend the southwest dog and these...
Read moreI was looking forward to trying this because my best friend had just been to the other location and gave it two thumbs up. We went to the Stuart location yesterday and will not go back. I wanted fish and chips or a fish sandwich. I asked the waitress what kind of fish they used. She said all of there dishes are made with Swai. (And she wasn't sure if it was previously frozen) If you don't know about this fish, you need to educate yourself. They are a type of catfish from the rivers of Indonesia that carry a lot of bacteria. People are advised NEVER to eat this fish. With that being said, I ordered a very good gorgonzola salad with mahi (yes, it was mahi) but, my husband ordered garlic wings and asked for EXTRA garlic. When they arrived, she put down a cup of what looked like movie popcorn oil and there was no evidence of any garlic, on the wings or in the cup of oil. If she was a well trained waitress, she should have said something about the lack of garlic when we asked for EXTRA. The beer was cold but that was a waist of $40....
