Highly doubtful that we would return. - very disappointed. We found this place based on some YouTube recs and of course Google reviews while visiting the area- staff - amazing ! Answered all of our questions. The food however did not follow through.
Let me break down our order : Beef rib (Saturday special ) 27.99 for ONE rib that had 60% fat - although it was tasty it was extremely overpriced for what we got and the outside was overcooked. 1/2 lb Ribs - 6 ribs in total barely edible - meat was dry , very porky , and very salty. Ribs are supposed to be juicy and fall off the bone š 1lb pulled pork -20% of our order had inedible bark that was burns and dry. The pulled pork although flavored food was extremely dry. š Baked beans - flavor was odd - almost sour you could taste the smokiness but they put in meat and bark which was not the best decision as the bark was burnt. They were good but just different. Cole slaw - saved the meal this was delicious - creamy/ sweet and crunchy !! šš¼ šš¼ Bread pudding - if you LOVE cinnamon you will enjoy this . Consistency on point - but very over powering with the cinnamon.

So you may not see the Smoke because of the location and they have excellent exhaust system for their indoor smokers But when I say they are really in here smoking meat like they were trained to do this from an infant ā I was very impressed and I will definitely be back!! We got a pound of pulled pork and we got a brisket sandwich and both meats were very juicy tender and full of flavor and they have that pretty red ring around the meat with just a perfect amount of fat and chard crust on the outside uh,uh,uh ā No complaints! Initially I thought it came out to be a bit pricey because they donāt have dinner plates, you have to buy everything individually. But after eating the food, the quality is there, itās clean, they change gloves regularly between fixing meals and theyāre nice people. There isnāt enough noise about this place spread the word!! The food was so good that even our picky 3 yr old ate all of it! My husband said quote āWrite a review so good that people understand that Iād stand out in front of that place with a sign telling everyone how good it is, just so that itās open for generations to come.ā So hopefully this will accomplish that and help relay how much we enjoyed finally trying Red Lion!
Atmosphere is very nice, love the personal pictures of the construction on the walls (very family oriented feel to that), and it wasnāt a loud music and rave kind of energy.
Peter and Peter (I believe father and son, otherwise a very funny coincidence lol) were both a pleasure to meet and chat with. They both have a great knowledge of bbq and food/spice combo. Sauces are homemade, and my favorite was the regular mixed with the hot! Yum š
